Staying at Lokal Inn was very pleasant experience. -The location is perfect, near the Charles bridge,a quite neighborhood and in the middle of the most important sight seeings. We didn't have to take any public transport. -The room was very big and clean. The only problem is that there isn't elevator for the rooms. -Breakfast was good, you can choose... More

Good location near all the sightseeing, without being caught up around throngs of people. Nice rooms and excellent staff and service. Restaurant provides great traditional food, good beer, and good atmosphere. All at a good price

This place is all about location. In a relatively quiet street of Mala Stranska, with Charles bridge around the corner. On the ground floor a bar (in the morning turned into breakfast room), frequented by locals and tourists alike, where they serve beer (of course) and all sorts of sausages. Just what we needed after a concert in town. And... More

In a city that has been overrun by tourism and has hotels on every admittedly beautiful corner, it is a pleasure to come across a small inn in a prime, prime, prime location that still has the feel of authenticity. Rooms are of a generous size with simple furniture and comfortable beds and functional bathrooms. Breakfast (and any other meals... More

If you want to explore Prague on foot, this place has an ideal location. All the main historical monuments are within reach of few minutes walking: Charles Bridge two minutes, Prague Castle ten minutes, Old Town Quarter ten minutes, Jewish quarter fifteen minutes of casual walk. Very easy access from/to the airport, no need to take expensive taxis. Just five... More

We only stayed two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. We were in a loft room on the top floor, it was so spacious - like a suite! It even had an entrance foyer. Was quite difficult getting our suitcases up all the stairs but it was worth it in the end and it meant we couldn't hear... More

We stayed for a week over Christmas and couldn't have had a better time. Lokal inn suited us perfectly, located close to Charles bridge, we were able to walk to all the major tourist attractions around the city. Having read previous reviews we knew to expect some noise, the bar on the ground floor was very busy, but hey, why... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
