We researched hostels based on proximity to Old Town Square, and the location of Prague Tyn could not be beat. A 5 minute walk into the Square yet the area around the hostel is quiet and relaxed. We checked into our four bed room and were pleasantly surprised to have our own sink and shower. We were also pleased to...

I have traveled a lot. I have stayed in some hostels. I have worked with hospitality more than 20 years and I have never meet or seen before 0 service minded staff. I arrived to Prague at 5.30 in morning after 12 hours bus trip any at the hostel approximately at 6.30. I were informed that check in was 14.30...

It has a good location, but that's it. Rude and arrogant staff, regular rooms and TINY toilets so you can barely seat! And when we never imagined it could get worse, in the check out they simpy charged us (I don't remember exactly how much) for breaking a window crank that was already broken when we arrived, and for having...

Stayed in Prague Tyn hostel for four nights in mid December 2015 and thought it was really great. It is right on the edge of Old Town Square which due to the season was a favourite spot for the Christmas markets. It was a very manageable walking distance to all main attractions in the city centre. The employees at the...

I stayed here over Christmas. Great location about 2 mins walk from the old town square. Helpful staff who man the desk 24 hours a day and offered out some good recommendations on where to eat. Reasonably priced and facilities well maintained.

Stayed 2 nights in prague tyn hostel, very convenient location. Right next to old town square and walking distance to most sightseeing places. Place is quite clean (thanks to the cleaning lady Zina:)) and the reception staff is extremely friendly and helpful (Nancy will help you with everything. Just go and wait for her to smile at you:)

One of the worst experience I had in a hostel The hostel told us that they could receive us (big group of students) but : - the showers weren't working or doors could not be locked - we got thin mattress on the floor instead of beds - we lost almost 700€ because they accused us of being too noisy...

Had a great stay here at Prague Tyn, would definitely recommend to friends and family. Perfectly located about a 2 min walk from old town square. New bathrooms, comfy beds, free breakfast, friendly staff, great find especially for the price!

Stayed here with 9 friends in December. I couldn't fault the hostel at all. The staff are super friendly, thanks Michelle for the tips about getting around the city. The location is central to everything in Prague. I would definitely stay here again.

The hostel is located right on the center of the city, near to the Old Town Square, meeting point for almost every walking tour and pubcrawl. Also at the hostel they have lots of informetion about the tours and you can even buy the pass for the pubcrawl. Met nice people in my room and the stqff were really nice....

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
