The hotels is located just a few steps from the Charles bridge on the Castle side. We got a room with river view. Small room, but comfortable. Quiet and warm (for bitter winter time). Very charming. You will have to ring a bell to let in every time which I thought was inconvenient at first, but I actually enjoy a...

I booked this hotel as part of my boyfriends birthday present, we stayed in a deluxe room with a castle view. The hotel were very accommodating and as it was for a birthday, we were given a free bottle of champagne (price €50) our room was beautiful, as was the hotel itself. The location is literally just off the Charles...

Small hotel a few steps away from Charles Bridge. Stayed in executive room which was very spacious, with large comfortable bed, separate dressing room & bathroom. Room was cleaned thoroughly every day & kept topped up with toiletries & clean towels. Buffet breakfast satisfactory but not anything special but location, cleanliness, good wifi & helpful staff on reception more than make...

We normally stay in large hotels, but the price diverted us to this little hotel. Perfect location, adjacent to the steps at the Lesser Town side of Prague. We had room 5, a small room with two tiny windows overlooking the bridge and river. Friends had room 2 (executive double) which was a great size. Lovely decor and comfy beds....

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
