This is a hard review to write as our room was fantastic, the location is ideal, the staff were always so helpful and professional, the breakfast buffet was lovely and the foods tasty and plentiful but the noise from outside the hotel woke us multiple times through each evening. OK, so there were people out enjoying themselves to the early hours so one must allow for some noise but it was repeated time and again but then came the garbage collection and deliveries of supplies to nearby shops. As one fanfare ended the next began. Our sincere thanks to the Aurus team for making our stay enjoyable.

This is a very small boutique hotel located about in the middle between Charles Bridge and the Town Plaza. Ideal for people who like to be in the center of activities. The building itself dates back many centuries but all amenities are up to date with high quality fixtures and ameneties such as airconditioning for the summer months. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

We enjoyed our 3 nights at Hotel Aurus chosen for location close to the centre of the old town. The hotel is an old residence in the pedestrian area with access for taxis so we were close to everything. It was only 100m from the end of the Charles Bridge which was a blessing after walking down from a long afternoon in the castle area. Our room was huge with the bed, 3 piece lounge suite, a table and 2 chairs and a well appointed ensuite. The hotel has only 8 rooms and we were on the first floor next the lovely breakfast room where we enjoyed the fabulous breakfast which was included in the tariff. This included the most comprehensive continental breakfast I have ever seen with yoghurt, cold meats, pikelets with smoked salmon, a huge selection of fresh fruit, pastries and eggs anyway you wished with bacon or ham as well as the daily special, the omelette was a standout. The bread rolls and pastries were fresh and I have never had a better croissant anywhere in the world. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely young lady who managed the breakfast room and we felt very much at home.. There is a small lift which was appreciated as the stairs are curved and fairly steep. The staff were charming and helpful from check in to departure. Outside was a chocolate shop, Norbert's amazing donuts (highly recommended), a Starbucks and lots of places to buy snacks including a mini mart across the road. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Aurus for your visit to Prague.

I choose this hotel due to the good reviews and location. We were on a family holiday for 4 nights. Some of the reviews have said can be loud in the street outside but we did not find this to be a problem and in fact enjoyed people watching from our first floor room. Our lovely comfortable room had windows on three sides. The view of the old cobbled streets was great. The bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower and beautifully clean. The breakfasts were very good with a nice choice of fruits, pastries and also a hot option cooked to order. The staff on reception were very helpful with restaurant recommendations explaining that we could buy tram tickets on board with a contactless credit card and arranging an early morning car to the airport and had a packed breakfast ready to take with us. The location is excellent. The Charles bridge is a minutes walk straight from the hotel. We were able to go first thing in the morning and also last thing at night when the crowds are gone. Everything else was a pleasant stroll away. We were able to recharge after a busy morning sightseeing before heading out again in the afternoon. It is a very old building but beautifully preserved. There is a small lift but being on the first floor we did not need it. Overall a friendly small hotel in an excellent location.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the beautiful hotel Aurus in the beautiful city of Prague. The staff had very kindy left us a bottle of bubbly, chocolates and a lovely little card for our anniversary - very thoughtful. We had a suite on floor 2 (room B) which was huge and comfortable and very atmospheric with a stunning ceiling of painted wooden beams and windows on all sides (it was fun looking out at all the people taking photos of the building). Breakfast was super - plenty of choice of fresh fruit, breads, yoghurt, cold meats etc and a cooked option too. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Excellent location too - after hours of pounding the streets sightseeing and getting caught in some heavy downpours, it was great to just be able to pop into your room for a rest and a warm-through. So in conclusion I would thoroughy recommend the Hotel Aurus to anyone visiting Prague who wants a comfortable, welcoming, centrally located place to stay.
