We spent four. Nights here in this small hotel just off the Old Town Square. The area seemed a little sketchy with graffiti on buildings but we never felt unsafe. Eva at the desk was especially nice and helpful and offered advice about restaurants, etc.. One clerk was very gruff and upset my sister, making her cry but other staff...

Hotel Hastal is located just outside the Jewish Quarter in Prague's Old Town. The great location makes it easy to access all of Prague's sights, especially if you take advantage of the subway and tram system. A tram stop is a short five minute walk from the hotel. If you walk five minutes in the opposite direction, you will find...

Our experience with the hotel and staff was great from start to finish. Booking and confirming our room via email was very easy and the rate was very good. They coordinated our transportation from the airport to the hotel and hotel to the train when we left and made it very easy for us. The breakfast was awesome and the...

I can only echo the many positive reviews you see here. We stayed for 10 days and had an excellent stay. Walking distance to Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, and close to the metro and trams if you need to travel beyond Praha 1. A very charming hotel with an excellent staff. They arranged the airport transfers for us and...

Hotel is about a 7 minute walk from Old Town, but pleasantly located on a quiet square in the Jewish quarter. Note, that the river facing rooms so not actually have a view of the river. They face the small square with a church, but due to the other buildings, no actual view of the water. Despite this it is...

We stayed at the Hastal for 5 nights. Our room was large enough and overlooked the small square and church. Hotel is very handy for most attractions and close to the tram stop. Breakfast was adequate with a cold buffet. Warm sausages, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and baked beans. Coffee, tea and wine available all day in reception though we...

We loved the location and classic small hotel, immaculate and charming, - like I used to find but now getting harder to find - a family owned hotel. Yes, smoke smell in some areas, and I never could get control of the bathroom heater, but I'm giving the 5th star anyway because of the many nice touches and helpful people....

This is a charming, small family run hotel about a 5 minute walk from Prague's central square, so it's a great location. We stayed for 3 nights and had a room overlooking g the front on the 3rd floor; it was comfy and traditionally decorated...no complaints. Breakfast whilst was a little limited in choice (continental only) was very good and...

Loved the location. We were within walking distance to so many things. The room was clean and functional. Most people at the front desk were very helpful except one male who rolled his eyes when asked just about anything. I heard him ask many guests to fill out a satisfaction survey, but I was not asked. We spent almost a...

It is an average hotel. I would book it again if I was able to get a special deal. I was on the top floor and the windows had spiders and spider webs all over it. The shower was a nice size with lots of room esp compared to the ones in Europe but the water in the shower didnt...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
