Hotel Hastal in Prague is a wonderful small, family owned hotel. Location is right in the middle of Old Town. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and comp wine included in the price. Can't say enough good things about this place. Great value. Highly recommend.

Lovely old (but recently done up) privately owned hotel in the Old Town. Wonderful art deco finish. If you want big TVs with lots of channels and cutting edge facilities like sauna and swimming pools, then this place isn't for you (though the wifi is fine). The breakfast is a bit hit and miss to be fair, but... If you...

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Prague at this gem of a hotel in great location. Excellent hospitality in family owned hotel. Rooms spacious and comfortable with lovely views from our room overlooking church square. Complimentary wine and hot drinks a much appreciated bonus. Would definitely go back with rooms very competitively priced.

My husband and I always travel on a budget, preferring to try privately owned hotels. Booking this four star hotel at an inexpensive rate was what we normally spend for a one to two star hotel in Europe. For our rate we received a huge front room with a view of the church, just across the street. We slept on...

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Hastal. We wanted a more authentic Czech hotel and we were not disappointed. We had a warm welcome and both Eva and Mathew on reception were excellent. Great location fgor exploring this wonderfuil city. A little mix up with rooms on the first night was managed very well by all staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Ask for a map and they will point out all the sites. PS do not bother with the hop on hop off bus, I always find this a great way to...

Friendly helpful staff availabel 24/7. Breakfast selection is wide ranging. Room 62 is spacious, had great ventilation and was quiet. The elevator stopped on the 5th floor, but the walk up one flight was worth it. Coffee and wine complementary at all hours. Family owned for decades!

We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Hastal. Everything about the hotel was wonderful. We were greeted by the receptionist who took the time to point out on a map all the key spots in Prague he thought we should visit. His advice was excellent. The room was roomy, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom good-sized, the room cooling system...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
