We got a good deal on this hotel and would recommend it as a base for exploring Prague. We were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival which was not asked for but It would be rude to say no. The room was fine it had a comfy bed and nice bathroom with tea and coffee and a TV. The...

My girlfriend and I stayed for 4 nights at the end of January. We arrived late and the check in was easy. We had a problem with our first room which was quickly sorted. From our hotel we were able to walk to every location in Prague, it was in a side street just off the river south of the...

I had the pleasure to stay in this hotel last week 2/04 to 7/04 with my wife and I would like to express how nice we found the hotel. The hotel is situated close to most of the places to visit as well as shops. The tram stops just a few metres up the road. The room 515 was very clean...

A lovely hotel. We had a lovely spacious room and the staff are so friendly. The breakfast was ok but if you don't like smoked cheese and don't eat meat, sometimes there is nothing to have but doughnuts. The cereal was soft and so was the bread. Not to my liking, but many others seemed to enjoy the breakfast. It...

We stayed here at the end on March for 5 days. We had requested and got a room on the high floor overlooking the Restaurant area. It was a large room with plenty of storage space. We did not need any A/C - it was cool enough in Prague - in fact the heating came on once or twice. The...

For the price, this hotel is good. Its good located, right south for the city center with many resturants around. The staff is helpful and the hotel bar is enough. As for european standards I will not rate this as a 4 star hotel, but a 3 star. But if you do not need to stay much at the hotel,...

We have just come back from a fantastic long weekend in Prague. What a superb city with stunning architecture, friendly people, bags of history at very affordable prices. The hotel is excellently placed for city centre site seeing whist being away from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfares. There are lots of small bars, cafes and shops in...

Excellent location, 5 minute walk from Old Town. Rooms spacious and clean - we had a double and couch in the room. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast as you would expect. Bar on the ground floor reasonable as well.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
