We stayed here for 3 nights just after Easter – my husband, two teenage daughters and me. We stayed in Room 103 on the ground floor, which was a suite with two bedrooms and a lounge area. We booked as a package through Expedia so it was quite good value. Room – views were on to courtyards but otherwise this...

From location to design to reception to departure the experience was excellent. The bathrooms are beautiful and modern the products divine, the location incomparable with one end of the room overlooking the old town and the other the Charles Bridge. The rooms are the largest I have ever experienced with a drawing room to the left enough to entertain and...

Very wonderful hotel with great service, amazing views and a nice big room! Absolutely loved our beautiful views of the St. Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. The room was very spacious with its own mini kitchen. Just the perfect hotel for me and my daughter to end our vacation in Europe. So easy to walk to everything. Highly recommend it!

Friendly staff, lovely spacious and clean room, beautiful hotel and well located. Breakfast was good but Hubby sad there was no full English breakfast. Would recommend to others and would definitely go back again. Staff spoke good English, loved the oil pods for the shower and the kitchenette in the cupboard was very cute. Comfortable bed.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

The hotel has a terrific black car shuttle service that we used as we had 7am international flights and wanted to leave by 5:15am. I can't remember the price but I do remember it was reasonable in the car I was waiting for us when we came downstairs. We booked it the night prior with the hotel.

Dear Susan N,

our hotel has two buildings. First building has 5 floors where elevator goes to the 4th floor. Second building with 2 floors is without elevator, because it is historical building from 17th century.

Sincerely Yours

They have an elevator. but some rooms need to climb up more with stiar about 1/3 level of each floor. I think you can tell them to pick up room without climbing up.

best,

Dear Jess, River and Castle view rooms and suites are placed in front of the building in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floor. The corner suites other users are talking about above are placed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor. The view is stunning and unbeatable. To get those rooms/suites I recommend you to book River view room or Suite or Castle view suite. Booking through Smetana Hotel website (Pachtuv Palace was lately divided to 2 hotels - Smetana-the front building with rooms and suites with the view and Pachtuv Palace - the original back baroque palace from 17. century for guests prefering history as there are rooms with original paintings on walls and ceilings. Hopefully this will help you with your decision to book with us. Sincerely yours Pavla Klimova, Front Office and Sales manager.
