This small and interesting hotel is in the perfect spot to start your daily wanderings around the beautiful city of Prague. The 24 hour service is a blessing, especially for those flights at odd hours of the day or night. The hotel has an interesting layout, and may confuse you at first, but you will remember how to find your...

The location cannot be beat - a few steps away from Old Town Square. The rooms were clean, but poorly lit. We were informed that they only changed towels every 3 days, although they actually did so more often. Breakfast was fine. This place has absolutely no charm. It is so dimly lit that you cannot read at night.

I really loved this hotel, clean, big rooms and quaint. Very centrally located but this became the problem at night. As it is on the the main run between Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square hen and stag parties are trailing past all night long, right up until the point when the market opens, there is no break. That is...

although the experience was not bad, I would expect so much better for the money i had to pay. Rooms nice and relatively clean, a bit draughty though and u can tell when heating goes off. Very poor quality breakfast. Bad service, some stuff had to be asked twice to bother to be helpful, and you could tell they weren't happy...

I stayed for 3 nites at this hotel and it was centrally located by Old Town Square. Close to restaurants and banks and shops and all the sights. We had a very large double room and the bathrooms were quite new and nice. The furnishings are simple and ample for our needs. Breakfast is fine if you stick with the...

The Golden Age is in a superb location, smack in the center of the passage between Old Town and Wenceslas Square. In addition to the unbeatable location: -the rooms are quite nice, decorated lovely with a very comfortable bed, a stocked mini-bar fridge, small television (one english news station) and the bathroom had obviously been renovated within the past few...

Just 3 minutes from the Old Town Square and Wencelaslas Square. The Hotel is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is quaint and has a lot of character as you would expect in the Old Town. The room we had was spacious with a large bedroom, large shower cubicle with toilet, washbasin and hairdrier, etc. There...

We stayed at the Hotel by default after a mix up with our original accomadation. We stayed over the New Year 06/07 and experienced several problems. Firstly a plus the Hotel is only a very short walk from the Old Town Square. The down side of this is that it is on a main pedestrian walk way and concequently it...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
