The Ventana doesn't really seem like a hotel at all. It's so relatively small-scale, and the staff are so very personable, that it's more like staying in a friend's house (if you happen to have friends with 29 bedrooms). Its location is so ridiculously central it can only have missed being part of the UN's World Heritage Site of the...

I have been to Prague several times, trying several very good hotels. This time we stayed for a weekend at Ventana, which became our hotel of choice for Prague. I can not imagine a better location for us, as we absolutely love the Old Square and the surroundings. Our room faced a quite side street and the Tyn Cathedral. It...

What a lucky find. The location was perfect for our 3-day visit to Prague. Ask for loft room #46. We could entertain all of our party(12) in the lower level without any intrusion into our sleeping loft. The staff was most accommodating. Make sure you ask the desk to call your cab rather than taking your chances with the local...

A great cozy little hotel, with friendly service and great rooms. It's in a great location, right next to tons of shops, and the room I was staying in had 2 levels. When I first walked in to reception, I thought it would be a bit average, but it turned out to be an amazing place! Definitely recommended!!!!

We spent 3 nights recently at Ventana Hotel on the 2nd week of December, and wished that we could stay longer. We learnt about Ventana Hotel through a Prague Personal Guide. The hotel looks like a smart residential building from the outside with a discreet entrance on the side street facing the Tyn Cathedral. It occupies an excellent spot, just...

You could not get any more central in Prague than this hotel, directly on the Old Square. Definitely worth emailing the hotel in advance to arrange transfer from the airport - the concierge has a dedicated email address on the web site and replied in English within the hour. Chauffeur driven car costs about £30 for the half hour drive...

Beautiful hotel with a lovely ancient ambience, located right on the main square of the old town and yet incredibly quiet and private! Rooms are very spacious, ours had a view on the Tyn Cathedral steeples, really gorgeous. Breakfast is great, service is excellent, staff very friendly. It could do with new carpets, but excellent for all the rest. We...

Our stay at the Ventana started on the wrong foot with us leaving our backpack, containing a couple of thousand Euro in cash, our passports and IPad in the back of a dodgy taxi from the train station (beware train station taxis - it is cheaper, and safer, to book a hotel car). The staff at the hotel got on...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night to see the Christmas markets. Perfect location, 60 seconds from the Old Town Square! We stayed in a loft room but were upgraded to a Junior suite for no extra charge. Our room was clean spacious and boasted a view of the Square. Breakfast was good with hot and...

Based on prior reviews of this hotel in TA we have just spent 4 days in Prague using this hotel as our base. It has to be the perfect location to stay, within 50 mtrs of Old Town Square. Facilities/Staff/Breakfasts good, but to improve each room needs a tea/coffee/kettle. This is not hotel where visitors sit in the bar and...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
