I was surprised with how big the room was. It was actually an apartment with upstairs kitchen and downstairs bedroom. The location was unbeatable and the staff very friendly. We also got a large easter egg from them for easter. Very happy with this hotel.

Highly recommendable, lovely staff and charming room. My fiancé and I had the pleasure of staying in Hotel Residence Retazona in the easter. It is located close to all the main sights I Prague. We found the hotel via Tripadvisor.

The major advantage of Residence Retezova is its location: just in the middle of everything. Walking distance to majority of points of interest in Prague, including the Castle, the Charle's Bridge, Mala Strana, Vaclavske Namesti & other. The hotel is clean, surprisingly quiet.

A friendly hotel in the centre of town at a competitive rate. The desk staff were uniformly helpful, offering everything from tourist tips on how to navigate the city to an extra couple of hours in the room on our leaving day. The apartment was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was compact but ideal. The terminal in...

It's the second time I've been to Retezova and I'm glad to say that if anything it has improved since my last stay there in 2003. The hotel has a number of beautifully individual rooms and suites which give you a sense of much more space than a normal hotel set-up, plus you're in the heart of the old town,...

The perfect location in Prague - a few minutes walk to Charles Bridge in one direction and the Old Town Square in the other direction. Beautiful, clean comfortable rooms; friendly and helpful staff; good value. What more could you want?

Staying at Residence Retezova we were treated with friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Rooms were beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and well provided. This little gem in the old town made an ideal base for a weekend break as all the sights of Prague were easily accessible. The adjoining cafe was cosy and provided the perfect start to the day with...

We stayed in the Apartment Berlin and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights there. The hotel was a great value (~€100 a night in the high season) and perfectly situated on a quiet street in the Old Town. The main city attractions are easily walkable to and a metro stop is only 5-min away. It is a 5-min walk to the...

We had a great stay here. It's a really cozy and intimate appartment-hotel. The room/ appartment with two bathrooms was nicely furnitured, clean and big enough to accomodate the five of us (3 adults and 2 teenagers). Personnel service was friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic, within walking distance of all the touristic attractions. In my opinion...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
