Stayed with my wife and son. I can't say it was "boutique" but I will say this.. It was clean and comfortable, situated just out of the Old Town there are numerous bars and restaurants within minutes walk which were at least as good, and certainly better value for money. Great breakfast, then a short walk, but a tram ticket...

Perfect location in Mala Strana, short walk to the castle district, Charles Bridge and both Old Town and New Town. Tram stop right outside. Beds were a bit hard, but it was a good size room. Nice breakfast. Our room had some cobwebs and a dirty towel, but other than that it was clean. We had the room in the...

The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The courtyard outside of the room was great to relax at in the morning with some coffee. The location was great--a few minutes walk to the Charles Bridge, but far enough away from the crowds were it was quiet at night. A 15 minute walk to the castle district as well, so...

My husband and I stayed in room 1 for the past 4 nights and were very pleased with the service, the staff, location and large apartment in a great district. The staff arranged our airport pick up, lent us umbrellas and even packed us an early breakfast prior to our departure. The Czech breakfast buffet was very good and again...

My boyfriend and I sat down outside at lunchtime and waited 10 minutes before my boyfriend went inside to ask for a menu, he was rudely told to 'sit down' and the waitress seemed very grumpy when taking our order. My chicken Caesar salad was very small for the price (188 CZK) and was mainly lettuce leaves. I'd had much...

We stayed in this Pension for seven nights in September, 2014. I liked the size of the room, view from the window and so on. The smoking area was practically in front of our room. Kitchenette was fine for us as we only needed the fridge and hot water. Breakfasts were good. The restaurant produced great traditional Czech meals. Overall,...

Stayed here with family of 4 (including 2 older teens) for two nights in late June. We had a family room ("apartment") that had a big bedroom with 4 twin beds, and a smaller room with another twin bed. The bathroom was spacious and extremely clean. Kitchenette was fine for us as we only needed the fridge and hot water...

One of our favorite restaurant in Prague. It is very difficult at this time to find a restaurant with live music on the accordion, with good food and friendly service. We had a classic Czech food and who has a small stomach, may have a problem. We were at this restaurant for the second time, and in our next vacation...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
