We stayed for one night befre our flight in a triple room before our morning flight. The hotel is in an old but well maintaied building with a lot of carachter. Front desk stafff was excellent, speaking fluent Enlish and happy to help with anything. The rooms were a bit on the spartan side but for us it didn't matter...

I try not to stay in chain hotels while vacationing and this was perfect! Great location close to Narodni street, which gets you to Wenceslaus Square in one direction and a few picturesque blocks to the Old Square and Astronomical clock in the other. In between, a wealth of restaurants, cute shops and also very close to the river. So,...

Had a great experience here, and would recommend it to anyone. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke English very well. This is an atmospheric, interesting building which genuinely feels part of historic Prague. I had a clean, spacious room with a huge bed, soft white linen and a very nice, modern bathroom. Loved the beer themed accessories, and the...

Stayed here for 3 days in September and it was great. We were in the family room which was very big. Hotel location is excellent and walking distance to most attractions in the city. Food was good and the beer was even better. Staff also cery friendly. No complaints, great stay and highly recommended.

Popped in on recommendation from tour guide, as they spoke English. This wasn't strictly true, but we struggled through. The food was good, as was the local beer. I had the roast pheasant. A couple of waitresses were a bit off, but I'm wondering if the English are all now tarred with the same brush post Brexit! Some of my...

U Medvidku is a friendly, affordable hotel with an excellent location. The staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful, and as for the the location, everything was close by or easily reached by public transport. I believe U Medvidku is among the cheapest three star hotels close to the old town square, and hence the value for money ratio...

Arrived at 8pm and there was already a line of locals, which is a good sign if they are willing to wait! Atmosphere (0) First Thing you should know is that the atmosphere in the restuarant is not exactly fresh, actually very much the opposite; wooden tables, wooden floors, wooden chairs, wooden, well you get the idea, lots of wood!...

This combination of hotel, restaurant and bar is a great place. We had lunch here and tried the traditional pork knuckle. this is a huge piece of meat definitely one for sharing. I would highly recommend a visit and will return on my next visit to Prague. Its almost a time warp from a bygone a era.

We've stayed here many times as a couple and this time brought our children and stayed in a family room. As ever it didn't disappoint. Service friendly and efficient, breakfast great and rooms clean, spacious and comfortable. Great to be able to walk through to the bar/restaurant from the hotel too. Can't wait to come back!

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
