the hotel has a great location but it is far from being a 5 star hotel. no matter what they tell you and no matter how hot it is out side, they do not turn on the air conditioner. we stayed at the hotel in July when temperatures outside were over 30c and the the air conditioner did not work...

I have to agree with many other reviewers that this hotel does not match its rating. It was very much a case of pluses and minuses. The aircon was set to a high temperature and the controls had no effect BUT the window opened fully to let in lovely air. There was a kettle and a limited supply of coffee....

I had booked the Prague Intercontinental for four nights, but decided to add two days. PIC was overbooked, so I thought the adjacent President would suffice. The wi-fi works, the breakfast choices are extensive but ordinary, Some of the reception staff were impossible: inquiries about friends were not answered. Finally when we caught up they told us that luggage had...

We arrived for a three night stay when outside temperature was about 30°C - it was almost the same as the Air Conditioning was not working. The staff had various implausible stories : "it is too early in the season - they don't turn the air on until summer - June 21", "it's almost the weekend and we cannot get...

Our package tour booked us into the President Hotel, saying it was a 4-star property. What a disappointment! The President Hotel had no air conditioning. NO AIR CONDITIONING. We arrived on a hot afternoon, and when we went to the desk to complain about the heat, different people were given different stories. We were told that they had just turned...

While this hotel is comfortable and reasonably inexpensive, it is not five stars as advertised. According to european standards, it should be viewed as three stars. The equipment and service are average.

The biggest disappointment I ever had with hotel. No hot water for hours, extremely rude service from the front desk team and most of all - NOT a 5 stars hotel as it claims to be, unless there is a new standard for hotels rating. For the same price or even less one can find much better option. The bottom...

This hotel is well located near the river and easy walking distance from the main tourist areas. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast had a good number of choices. My only quibble is that there was no gym but that is a personal choice. The hotel is also quite popular

Room and bathroom very spacious, clean (although bins were never emptied during 3 night stay), comfortable, and sufficient cupoards for clothes. Full breakfast included in room rate was very good. Position was excellent, on the river by the Jewish Quarter, 10 min walk from Astronomical clock. However, It was as though they ran out of money when fitting out the...

Recently spent 3 nights at this hotel on a journey across Europe. The best bit is the location - right by the river. Unfortunately, although it has tea making facilities within the rooms they are not replenished, so pack some. Breakfast had a reasonable choice but on two mornings they ran out of cutlery and crockery, staff also seemed uninterested....

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
