Since the place is so cheap I didn't quite expect much. However, it is really nice in terms of the location and the convenience for a walk in Prague. Facilities are a bit old, but still quite stylish in a sense. Very helpful, friendly and reliable staff. One negative point is that they might need to work on their safes-that... More

This hotel is very well located, at only 5 minutes walking distance from Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) - which is by the way one of the most beautiful squares I've ever seen. The room is comfortable, quite spacious... we had a lot of things in our bags and we could find a place to store everything (drawers, nice wardrobe,... More

1) The staff is not very warm and friendly. 2) Rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable 3) Location is very central- walking distance from major attractions. 4) Breakfast is basic but good. 5) Overall a little expensive for the value it offers, but still good mainly because of the excellent location it has.

Okay--I know it's call the "Old Prague Hotel" but I did not expect it to be worn and a bit shabby. The rooms are small, but typical for most European hotels. However, it wasn't just the small size--it was the amount of unnecessary furniture they crammed into the room. We had a wardrobe that was jammed up next to an... More

Ok I admit this is in a good location and very reasonably priced and the free breakfast is very good and the staff is friendly and helpful but don't forget you are in Prague and must be screwed. My wife made this reservation for one person, I guess she forgot I was along to pay for everything so upon arrival... More

This hotel is centrally located very close to the old town square. The hotel has old style decor, but suits as the name suggests. The room was decent enough for two people with a kettle to boil water. The fridge in the room was dirty and needed some clean up. The bathroom was good, but it might have done better... More

I went to Prag for a weekend with my boyfriend and booked a bedroom in this hotel, according to the photos avaiable that seemed to be ok. We were taken to the bedroom behind the main building. It was dark, smelly, with moldy walls, filthy bathroom and super warm. We couldn't even keep the windows opened douring the day to... More

The place is centrally located within walking distances to Charles Bridge, Astronomical Clock to name but a few. Also nearby souvenir shops, restaurants and bars. The room is nice and my room in particular on the 4th floor was good with great view of the city

Booked this hotel for a night stay. It is close to most of the sight seeing places and pubs. Had a nice and comfortable stay. The free breakfast was good too. The only drawback was no air conditioning and it was a bit hot.

We travel a lot, mostly through Canada, USA and Europe but I have never been treated with so much disrespect and rudeness as when dealing with a receptionist from this hotel. I have booked this hotel through Booking.com on June 1st, 8 weeks prior to our arrival. Prior to arriving to Prague, we’ve spent few days hiking in mountains, with... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
