It looks tatty from the outside but very surprise how clean and tidy the rooms were. The breakfasts were not very good if you prefer english, but ok for toast and cereals. Heard lots of rumours of pick-pockets we were ok. plenty of police on the streets, always felt safe day or night. Would definatley reccomend (--) waiting for us...

Stayed here for four nights. Room was clean, bit of a hassle getting up to our room on the sixth floor since the lift only goes uo to the fourth. Breakfast was inedible, coffee out of a military type drum dispenser and powdered milk, scrambled eggs and hot dogs. a nice breakfast venue just down the road at the municipal...

Ive also just come back from a stag do in this hotel. (6 of us split over 2 rooms) On the most part I totally agree with the previous review, however we did have curtains and the noise didnt really cause us any problems. There were a few bangs here and there but nothing too excessive. We did infact have...

Hello, I stayed in the this hotel last weekend, despite the reviews, I knew I was running a risk, so here is my review. The Location was perfect, 4 minute walk to the main sights, the construction outside the hotel wasn't so bad at all, the room that I was staying had double windows, which really helped, but I brought...

just back from Prague. Hotel city centre was ideally situated for exploring all the areas you would expect to visit. The breakfast was interesting and there is certainly something for everyone. Lovely bread rolls but don't put jam with them as they have salt crystals and are for the cheese, ham etc. Bathroom large and very clean with a powerful...

Firstly, its a great location - very close to the old square and the main shopping areas, shame the good points stop there. A group of 5 of us stayed in this hotel in the first weekend of Feb 2007 for a stag weekend, it was going to be a bigger group of 7 orignally so we had 4 rooms...

This is a simple central budget hotel, which at best can be described as adequate. If your priority is a reasonable bed and a good shower, you will not be disappointed; however, apart from the construction work outside (which is hardly the hotel's fault), the main problem was the interior noise due to the thin walls, high ceilings and echo-ing...

The location was good- Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and river and transport links within walking distance. Rooms were basic but clean and breakfast was OK although could have been better. The main problem when we stayed in December 2006 was the ongoing building work - which was operational 24 hours a day. We had 2 windows in our room...

We stayed at the City Centre Hotel in August 2006 for 3 nights. The hotel has an excellent location and is in walking distance of all the main attractions so you get to see more of this beautiful city. We found the hotel staff to be polite and helpful. The bedroom was clean, and the bathroom excellent. The bed was...

Arriving to find the square barricaded and noisy because of major construction work was not a promising start. Negotiating through and around construction was offputting, and then there was the constant noise to contend with. While the room, bed and bathroom were all adequate, the disinterest of the front staff and the appalling breakfast (cordial, not fruit juice; no fresh...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
