If you are looking for a great place to stay in Praha, then this is it! Located very close to Charles bridge and within walking distance from the castle and the old town. A hotel with a very "arty" character, super friendly staff and a great restaurant. Although it is a typical old building being renovated into a hotel,(having mazy...

Top notch service. Very attentive to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. Our 3 daughters loved the free afternoon tea and sweets. Great location. Very quiet facility. Little touches like computer in room, wifi throughout the building, lovely breakfast buffet, cinema room with dvd and book library, accomodating concierge, fresh fruit in our room and more!

We spent 4 nights in a snowy Prague at the Aria. Our room had a lovely view over the rooftops of Mala Strana. The hotel is in a quiet street a block away from St Nicholas church and an easy walk to Malostranka Square, the tram stops there and Charles Bridge. Prague Castle is a short walk away. Breakfasts were...

We recently returned from another trip to Prague. It was my second time at the Hotel Aria and my husband's fourth. We keep returning because they never disappoint. The rooms are large and very well decorated. The linens are wonderful and better than some Four Seasons I've stayed in. The staff absolutely could not be more helpful. The concierge helped...

The Aria Hotel, situated near Prague Castle, is a short walk to Old Town via the beautiful Charles Bridge. Nestled on a quiet street near the American Embassy, the staff bend over backwards to make your stay as flawless as possible. These people feel like friends by the end of the weekend. Room service staff is very prompt, maid service...

Our room The Chopin suite was deceptively large and very well appointed with lots of extras such as iPod & DVD player, PC, free wifi etc. not to mention my favourite toiletry brand Molton Brown which was heaven to wallow in after a very tiring but inspiring day of sightseeing and walkingBecause our driver and Mercedes ordered from the hotel...

We stayed at the Aria Hotel in August 2012 for three days while our son was in the last week a summer program in Prague. We chose this hotel primarily because of its location just down the block from the apartment he rented through Air BnB. As it turned out the location was ideal for access to many of the...

Everything about the Aria Hotel is wonderful!! The front desk staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Our room (Edith Piaf) was lovely....very spacious and comfortable, as was the bath. Each employee, whether house-keeping or waitstaff, was very pleasant and made sure we were well cared for. Breakfast in the light-filled atrium was delicious (afternoon tea as well!). We especially loved...

Thanks to trip advisor, our short anniversary trip to Paris and Prague has been delightful! Our room at the Aria (Tchaikovsky) was large (for European rooms), had an amazing view, and a spacious, well-appointed bathroom. The complimentary breakfast buffet is excellent. The location to Charles bridge and castle easily walked (a few blocks) and -as another reviewer stated- we like...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
