I was somewhat apprehensive after reading the reviews on this hotel as to what kind of experience I would have here. True to the reviews, it is in an excellent location. The rooms were large by European standards, but the bed was one of the worst I have ever slept in. There were 2 box springs and no mattress. The... More

My girlfriend and I (both 26) stayed for 4 nights Wednesday - Sun. We were delighted at the proximity of the hotel to the Old Square; it was literally in the shadow of one of the cathedrals. The hotel has some character to it; It looks like the rooms were originally apartments, as the corridors to the rooms are not... More

We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel, considering the price we paid relative to other hotels near Old Town Square. The location is absolutely great, and the hotel itself is very charming. You can't tell from the outside as the entrance to the rooms is hidden in an inner courtyard, but it is very cute. The... Hi! We booked this hotel for a one night stay in Prague for late September 2006. WE booked well in advance and had a confirmation number. We chose this hotel because of its quaint, cultural ambiance and location. That is what we wanted. When we arrived, however we were told they had lost not only our reservation, but many and... More

This was my second visit to Prague, its a lovely place. The Hotel Metamorphis is a pleasant hotel, the rooms are very spacious, nicely furnished and clean. The hotel is in a great location, a short stroll away from the old Town and its many attractions. I would like to point out that the restaurant is downstairs and as breakfast... More

We forgot to get our passports and jewelry in the safe when we checked out. the safe was locked and the key was with the front desk. When we remembered it we called the hotel and asked them to check the safe. They said they gave the key to the maid to open it but could not find anything in... More

Dear client, we deeply regret having received such a bad review. We do not understand why you mentioned this incident as if the hotel would provide bad service. Hereby I would like to point out the real state of the matter you described. You have called to the hotel and informed us that you were missing the passport and jewellery.... More

We chose the Hotel Metamorphis for our first trip to Prague and are quite happy with the choice! The hotel is located in the Ungelt, one of the oldest sections of Prague and is a short walking distance from Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. Several charming boutiques surround the hotel and there is a terrific jazz club around the... More

Fantastic location. Friendly staff and nice room. Breakfast was a disaster. Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
