I am a traveler in his mid-60s who is not on any social media platform, or an influencer, and generally do not contribute to review boards, but my lengthy stay at Holiday Home deserves an enthusiastic and sincere recommendation. Despite a family tragedy, the hosts/owners accommodated my request to change rooms, and took the time to settle an issue with my credit card payment, with the utmost patience and courtesy. Communication was always prompt and concise. Both rooms were clean, and very well equipped with those little things that (for me) make it easy to settle in and feel at home: Coat racks, shelves and space to hang clothes, a shelf over the bathroom vanity for your toiletries, small table for a workspace, plenty of outlets to charge your iPhones/iPads, etc., bedside table lamps with easy-access switches, access to a refrigerator, and even a safe. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and both rooms had a “blackout” shades. The public spaces were also clean and well maintained. Another reason to highly recommend this facility is the vibrant and safe neighborhood, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, banks, and other necessary services, including a laundromat within easy walking distance, not to mention numerous public transit lines and close proximity to the Old Town district, and main rail and bus stations. Holiday Home Pension is truly a gem, that I hope you will enjoy as much as I did. Thank you!

We stayed in this hotel from 19 to 22 August for a family trip (two adults and a 9 year old girl). We booked it well in advance, reading the positive reviews of other visitors and we can confirm them. The Holiday Home Pension is managed by Eng. Vladimir who always proved to be kind and precise both in the communications via email and WhatsApp that took place before and during the stop, and when we met him in person. The hotel is located on a side street of Namesti Miru Square, served by trams, buses and the metro. Enjoy the services provided by clubs, restaurants and cafes which are diverse in the area. On foot you can also reach convenient mini markets and there are other very convenient ones in the nearby metro stop. The area is also very quiet in the evening, ensuring optimal rest. The rooms are spartan, but clean and with everything you need for a break. Available are a safe, fridge, heating (no air conditioning), TV, hairdryer, Wi-fi and even a kettle and plates and cutlery for a quick do-it-yourself breakfast (not included in the overnight stay). We recommend it to those who want economical, quiet and well-served accommodation. Our compliments, in particular, to Eng. Vladimir for the kindness, efficiency and availability demonstrated.

Very nice owners who were in contact with us until our return home to Slovakia. Nice accommodation, great attitude of the owners who explained everything to us, advised us where we can go to see. We parked directly under the guesthouse. We are already looking forward to the Easter stay 28.3-1.4.2024 in their guesthouse.

The room was just as it was advertised. There was no unpleasant suprise, the tenant was very friendly and gave my friends and I some cool advices to visit the city. Considering the price, the location of the place and the quality of the room, Holiday Home is a fairly great deal and I recommand it.

The location was great. Some fantastic restaurants & cafes near by. The tram line directly into town is very close. Some extra maintenance would be great, but you could not ask for a nicer host. Nice & clean room. Clean building. Well kept in general. Lovely area and just outside of the "Touristy" areas so no where near as busy as "in town".

Have just returned from a great six day stay in Prague at the 'Holiday Home' pension. Thought the hotel was very clean and although it was definitely basic it was great value for money. No frills but extremely central and just a minute from both metro and tram stops. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and seemed to speak a variety of languagues (English included!). Would definitely recommend this hotel for its great value and location and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
P.S. Just up the road and round the corner is a restaurant called Udraka - very good food and fantastic value - cost us just £16 for three adults and a bottle of good wine!

A lovely clean, neat, basic hostel with good facilities. It has a good location and is within walking distance of the edge of the old town (about 15 mins walk). If that's too far for you, metro and tram stops are just around the corner. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it.

The pension is situated in a quiet residential area but only 5 - 10 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square. The building is about 100 years old and the lightest rooms are on the top floor(s). Stairs are a bit of a climb so you need to be fairly fit and mobile - there is no lift. A non smoking double room is €57 a night during high season, smoking rooms are slightly higher. You can also have a single room, 3 bedded or 4 bedded rooms.
Staff in reception are very helpful and the young lady that was on most days speaks good English. Keys are provided to all guests so they can come and go as they please.
Towels are changed almost every day, they are a bit rough so if you are used to soft fluffy towels you may prefer to bring your own. Personally, I found it saved £s on exfoliator! En suite bathrooms are provided and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water at all times of day.
Beds are fairly firm but the feather pillow was very soft and a thin quilt is provided. It is a very quiet area and we all slept very well during our stay.
Each landing had an area with a table, four chairs, full size refrigerator and a sink unit with electric kettle. Crockery, glasses and cutlery is provided and the area is shared by 3 rooms. Really useful if you want to do your own catering at lunchtimes.
The breakfast room is in the basement, which was bright and clean. Breakfast is the usual continental fayre - muesli, cornflakes, yogurt, cold meat, cheese, rolls and toast, tea, coffee and orange juice and sometimes hard boiled eggs. Plenty to fill you up!
We ate at a restaurant called U Draka on more than one occasion, which served good food and was good value. Better still it is just around the corner! Their steaks are excellent.
Most of the major sites are within walking distance but the trams run regularly and are inexpensive. You can buy tickets at reception or at the tobacconists next door. Tickets vary in duration, for example you can have a ticket that lasts 60 minutes. You validate the ticket onboard the tram via the machines provided. Trams 22 and 23 will take you to Prague Castle.
If you like the theatre you really are spoilt for choice. We went to the Prague National Theatre on the Vitava River embankment to watch the ballet. It was the first ballet we had seen and it didn't disappoint. The theatre itself was also spectacular. Also worth a visit is the Municipal House Concert Hall and Exhibition Centre - a fantastic art nouveau building. They conduct guided tours through some of the halls at 12, 2pm and 4pm. One of the rooms is decorated with work by Alfons Mucha. I would run out of space if I listed all the things to see, suffice to say that Prague is well worth a visit and you will not be disappointed.

Dear Storyteller, let me answer you. Our cancellation policy is mostly just amount of 1st night if cancelled later than 24 hours prior arrival. But the best is to avoid any cancellation fees just by active communication between us (client & us). But for certain TOP season dates there might be more strict cancellation policy. You can find exact cancellation policy for certain date in online booking form, certainly already before finalizing the booking. Thare is the most reliable information for certain date & booking.
Sincerely
Vladimir
Let me inform you that we have air-condition just in one room, which is located in atic, just below roof. (But this one might not be available for short term accommodation next summer).
All the other rooms do not have AC. There is electric ventilator in each room during summer.
We never needed AC, as the building is historic with strong walls. Also there were always just few hot days in Prague during summer, so it was always comfortable without AC. Especially in lower floors, it is no problem. I remember opposite extreme that we had to switch on heating for some clients in the evenings during August.
But this last summer was exceptionally hot for longer period. If this should continue for more years, we might need to install AC in highest floor. But this would not be easy to get permission in historic building.
This issue is mostly no problem for most of our clients. But certainly for someone, who is really accustomed just for airconditioned enviroment (in work + at home) definitely it might be.
Sincerely
Vladimir
