located only 5 min by walk from Carls bridge. Calm, beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious breakfast. (the following text I only write to reach the minimum of two hundred characters whic is required.)
The Waldstein hotel is perfectly located in Prague, the design is very beautiful, the staff is super friendly and the breakfast good. However, we got room number 4 on the ground floor, which means that you hear everybody moving from the apartments above, via the beautiful old wooden stairs, down- or upstairs; the room was super super dark; everybody could watch into the room from the inner yard; the room was very humid (smelled and felt like cellar). We did not want to move after the 1st night, as we had anyway only booked 2 nights. In total, although at the 1st glance all is perfect, we would not pay the money again and not go to the hotel again, given the room we experienced. I guess that most other rooms are nice... but somebody has to get the moisty, dark and loud one. Unlucky us.…
A wonderful modern hotel yet full of character, located in a quiet corner on the cobbled streets just minutes away from Charles Bridge. We arrived to a warm welcome from Veronica and was quickly checked in to our room. We were a group of 3 adults so had booked the Quadruple Room Deluxe. This turned out to be room 11 which was located out through the small courtyard and up a small wooden staircase to the first floor. The room was amazing .... 2 very spacious double rooms divided by a separate cosy seating area (where we found a lovely welcoming complimentary bottle of wine left for us!). Each room had it's own mini bar stocked with water, soft drinks, beer and wine, all of which were very reasonably priced. The bathroom was immaculate with a powerful shower, plenty of toiletries and more than enough fluffy towels for everyone. The whole hotel was absolutely spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was served downstairs in the main building between 7am and 10.30am and consisted of virtually everything you could possibly think of having for breakfast! Everything was fresh, looked lovely and tasted great and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel Waldstein was in a perfect location for our 5 nights in Prague with everything we wanted to see within walking distance. There were restaurants and shops just around the corner or a 20 minute walk across Charles Bridge took you into the Old Town. The walk back across Charles Bridge in the evening was simply stunning and walking back to the hotel always felt safe. We went to Prague to celebrate one of our birthdays and just when we thought our stay couldn't get any more perfect, the hotel kindly left a bottle of Prosecco in our room on the actual birthday for us. Thank you to all at Hotel Waldstein for making our stay in Prague so amazing ..... If we do return to Prague one day we know exactly where we'll be staying again!…
A wonderful welcome from the airport, I arranged a taxi via the hotel and this I definitely recommend! Lovely and easy, your name on a sign at arrivals and off you go, good drivers and clean, nice cars. About 22mins drive to hotel. Approximately £25.40 GBP (750 CZ or 31 Euro). Welcome drink at reception was a lovely touch. Room cleanliness is superb. Quality of mattress, just perfect. Choice of pillows, lovely. Free safe in wardrobe and the mini bar was so affordable!! A real treat to be able to indulge and not break the balance. Toiletries are natural. Lots of attention to detail here. The receptionists are wonderful at their jobs, nothing is too much trouble at all. Breakfast is terrific, Prosecco if you like😜 too. (The breakfast staff could smile and say hello, that's my only criticism here). Location is quiet, in Lesser town, basically surrounded by Embassies and Parliament buildings, right under Prague Castle and yet only 20 mins walk over the bridge into the town centre. It's like staying in London, Prime Minister's Number 10 Downing Street area in a way. Located near to great restaurants too. The only downside was how noisy guests can be, but being polite and aware of others in a respectful manner is less and less so with today's public. People do bang doors and stomp around in their rooms above you with no consideration for those who have paid to stay below them. But just phone 100 for reception and they will sort it right out for you, no problem. The front of house staff are very polite, caring and respectful. I had a lovely stay and just want to say a big thank you to Alena! …
we have visited this place with my wife and it was really great. Perfect service, amazing and friendly staff. Greetings to Renata and Romana. It was wonderful: the room, the food and the helpful assistance. Looking forward to come back.
