I recently stayed at the Golden Star for 2 nights and have nothing but positives to say about this hotel. The location was perfect at the top of the hill with a beautiful view across the city. It's about 1 minute from the Castle and only approx a 20 minute stroll form the main square. The hotel was just gorgeous...

This hotel ticked all the boxes. Perfectly located for the castle (a five minute walk away), and in a very nice area for shops and cafes - but not the trashy touristy type. When we arrived we were given the choice of 2 lovely rooms and a glass of Prosecco/beer (nice touch). Breakfasts are well above expectation and there's a...

Such a nice welcome from Andrea und Ivan at the reception . They did everything for our convenience . We liked the hotel , just renovated very sophisticated , near Karlov Most with an excellent view on the downleading street full of interesting buildings and stores. We will come back with our family and friends .

My husband and I stayed here for three days. The location is great and the room is spacious and clean. However, the best part of this hotel is friendly and helpful staff. We especially appreciate Andrea's and Ivan's help. One day our Uber driver cancelled on us and we were almost late for our friend's wedding. Ivan provided a solution...

great location, brill hotel, friendly staff. This was our honeymoon hotel and we could not have wished for a better place to stay. We would highly recommend the Golden Star. A short walk from Charles Bridge and other tourist sites, this was a clean, tidy and great place to stay.

We liked very much this hotel. It is very well located in a nice neighbourhood and really close to the castle. Very attentive and helpful staff, specially Andrea at the reception desk. We must also say that we loved the complimentary prosecco!!!

Good location on Nerudova, although every time when you come back to the hotel from the lower part of the city it is quite a climb. But when visiting Prague Castle it is next to it! The room and the bathroom was very big, we didn't have a view to the city, but that didn't bother us. Good service at...

Dear Sirs, thank you for your kind review and rating, we appreciate it so much! Please let me just mention, that the most convenient way to our hotel on foot is from tram 22 stop Pohorelec and then down the street Uvoz. It´s the easiest way with an amazing sceneric view! So thank you again and I wish you a...

We stayed for three nights and could not have been more happy - from our arrival (5stars to Andrea here) to when we let, everything was perfect. The staff (again, especially Andrea) are excellent, the daily breakfast terrific, the room perfect, and a great location too.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, sorting taxis, tours and where to eat or drink. A very well run hotel both elegant and contemporary in design while retaining some old world charm, excellent room and very good breakfast. Recommend highly

Visited the beautiful city of Prague and stayed at the Golden Star Hotel. Room was large, very clean and excellent and breakfast was first class. The view from our room was wonderful and the street the hotel is on is most interesting and quirky. At night, the whole area is very peaceful and beautifully lit up and looks quite magical....

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
