Yep the view is stunning. Gents, surprise your partners with this and she'll talk about it to all her girlfriends forever. Mine went gaga when we came up out of the metro in the evening, turned around the corner, saw the cathedral all lit up and then realised she was staying in the cute little place right opposite. She couldn't...

The Cerna Liska is a pretty average hotel, however you will not believe the location for the price. It is literally located in Old Town Square with a stunning view of the Tyn Church! The breakfast is good with deli fixings, bread, eggs and bacon. The staff is very helpful and fluent in English.

My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights in early September. The location is excellent. The room is large and clean. The staffs speak English. We had experience with 4 different receptionists during the 4 days - their schedule is working 24 hours straight, then takes three days off. One lady is very friendly, one lady is good, one...

Tripadvisor is fantastic. Again we picked a hotel from the top list and the hotel was great . The location is the best in Praque. The rooms are big and charming. Some of them have a fantastic view over the square. The breakfast was very nice with tasty bread, friut, eggs and bacon etc. I have visited most of the...

Wow, what an amazing location! I don't think you find a better location in all of Prague. Our room wasspacious and comfortable, with incredible views of the Tyn Church. My wife and I couldn't get over the amazing views from our room. The hotel is in the heart of Old Town, right on the square (across from the Tyn church,...

The view says it all. We have had some pretty hard beds in Europe, but the bed was fine. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the location OUTSTANDING! Each morning to wake up and see the square come to life was great. And at night we would always take the "One last stroll" which we would not have done in some...

My husband, teenage son and I all loved this hotel. It's right on the Old Town square, so we could walk to everything. They accommodated us 3 in a room, no problem. The view out our window (room 303) was of Our Lady of Tyn Church--spectacular both day and night. The staff spoke fluent English and Linda at the desk...

This was the perfect location for exploring Prague, located on a corner of Old Town Square but away from the hub-ub of the bigl clock, the stores and all the outside dining places. The hotel is right across a small street from St. Nicholas Church ( which was a delightful spot to attend an evening concert.) We had two rooms...

Just returned from 2 nights in Prague, stayed at the Cerna Liska and was delighted with the location, right on the Old Market Square, the Astonomical clock is just to the side, all other attractions are literally 5 to 10 mins walk away, the Castle would take a little longer. The hotel was very clean, our room over looked the...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
