Arrived on a 3 day break for XMas markets in Prague. Hotel nice distance away from bustle of centre but easy walking distance and superbly positioned for metro links and adjacent to walkway to castle and cathedral which are a "must" visit. Hotel staff welcoming and efficient, room in courtyard well equipped and clean. Would stay again.

Our room was excellent in every respect, very roomy with a very comfortable sitting-room,a splendid bathroom and a very large comfortable bed. We were booked for breakfast only, which was self-service. The bacon wasn't replaced too quickly at first, but soon improved! No complaints really at all. The staff were all very courteous, friendly, and helpful. We would certainly recommend...

Spent 4 nights in the Hoffmeister in Nov 2016. Had dinner there the first night; goat's cheese starter in tissue thin flaky pastry was amazing. Veal brisket was melt in the mouth, and the chocolate mousse dessert superb. We also were welcomed with a glass of wine and an introduction to Prague while our bags were taken to the room....

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights when Southampton played Sparta Prague in the Europa Cup. Found the hotel to be comfortable, the food and drink good and all the staff very friendly and welcoming. Very enjoyable stay which at least made up for Southampton not playing well and losing 1-0!!!!

My first review, which was written just after our visit, was less than positive, to say the least. After a cooling off period and learning a bit more about the place I decided to be more circumspect. Apparently this place has rooms and facilities which we were not aware of that my actually fit the "elegant" descriptions that we read....

My husband surprised me with a 4 day trip to this hotel. When we arrived we were offered a free welcome drink in the bar, we were given the choice between juice, beer or wine. In the meantime the staff brought our luggage up to our room. The room was great, with a spacious living room, a large bedroom and...

Lovely small hotel central located. Stayed 3 nights. Freezing in Prague but the hotel was cosy. Underfloor heating. Welcome drinks were a lovely add on. Guest relations were excellent. We tried one of the restaurants he recommended. Malostranska 👌Local cuisine was top notch. So do listen they won't put you wrong. Spa was small and the cave sauna is super....

Good location just under the castle and Letna Park and just over the river from the Old Town. Clean, comfortable room ..kettle for the Brits to make their tea. Good albeit slightly pricey hotel restaurant (mind you all hotel restaurants tend to be pricier than local restaurants). Superb breakfasts ! Spa, sauna etc available but did not have time to...

Very nice hotel with lovely room...well located in a quieter area of town (very near to the castle) but within walking distance of everything! Breakfast was lovely every day, and the bar service lounge was nice. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
