Just returned after 4 nights at this lovely hotel. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The location is excellent and our room was very charming, and looked out over The Charles Bridge. Breakfast provided a selection of cold and hot, and plenty of it. Free coffee on the first floor which was lovely as there are no coffee making...

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 day, 2 night stay in the breathtaking city of Prague. We stayed at the Hotel U 3 Pstrosu which I had chosen for its absolute perfect location, right at the end of Charles Bridge. We arrived around 10 am and thought we would have to wonder around for a few...

Excellent location for those who plan to examine Prague. Windows were facing an old nice square, quite crowded at the daytime and not noisy at night. Breakfast was simple and unchanging, but unless you are not after gastronomic joy every morning, it is absolutely fair. Overall, incredible value for money.

We had room 24 with exposed beams and looking down on the end of the Charles bridge. The location is excellent, in good walking distance of all the main sights. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast was fine in the usual continental way. No lift but it is an old building with plenty of character. Would stay again.

The 3 Ostriches is very centrally located and quite comfortable. The welcome I received was warm and friendly and the staff are very helpful. I did not get a chance to try the restaurant but the menu looked good. Definitely recommended

Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Clean and neat. Lots of good restaurants within 1 - 5 minute walk. Shopping too - great marionette stores next door. Definitely not the Ritz, but I would stay there again.

Angry receptionist greets you in the entrance with mostly 'no' as an answer. Room was apparently invaded by roaches although thankfully only the carcasses remained, do yourself a favor and sleep elsewhere!!!

We stayed at this hotel about 15 years ago and returned with fond memories with family for the holiday. The location right at the end of the Charles Bridge is perfect. You can walk to everything. This is a great choice for anyone who likes small, local hotels with lots of charm. The staff is warm and very helpful.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

“If you don't want to be bothered by noise, ask for a room that does not over look the bridge. This hotel does not have A/C - so not sure I'd want to stay there in the summer. If you are American, remember that the 1st floor is one floor up - so the second floor is two flights of stairs. ”
