My Wife and I were relocated to this Hotel on 14th January 2020 and stayed here 3 nights after our reservation at Design Hotel Metropol was cancelled due to renovation.

The Art Nouveau is a very old world, continental Hotel with a very traditional grand decor and polite members of staff.

Our room (600) was very large with two single comfortable beds, a huge bathroom with a high pressured shower and deep bath with complimentary shampoo, conditioner and lotions. The room was cleaned daily and thoroughly and the room was always very warm.

Breakfast was truly the highlight for my self with a dedicated restaurant on floor 2 with a huge selection of Breakfast items Healthy, Continental and American plus a Egg and Omelette station.

The location of the Hotel is excellent with it being a short 5 minute walk from the Wenceslas Square and Mustek Metro station.

I would definitely recommend this Hotel and certainly would be happy to stay here on a future visit.

I travelled with a friend and it happened that we arrived at the hotel much before the check-in time. The staff were extremely helpful: took our luggage to the storage room and made their best to prepare our room at the earliest. Moreover, I was really surprised with a strong customer focus when asking for directions and for an advice from receptionists, especially Darja. Also, when we were checked I went shopping around the town, bringing some purchases one by one and the man who helped with luggage was remarkably polite and helpful carrying my luggage back and forth...
Besides, the room we lived in was neat and clean and didn't seem to lack anything. And when we got issue with the water in bathroom the girl from room service came into the room quite fast and delivered a quick help among with being warm and friendly.
I am more than satisfied with our stay. So, I would like to thank Darja, Gaspar, Barbara and Monika and other staff of the hotel for such a hospitality and a great experience!

I got a warm welcome when I checked in to the Art Nouveau Palace and all the staff throughout the week were friendly charming and very efficient. The receptionist used his initiative and allocated me a room with disability features in the bathroom after I mentioned the reason for my trip was a small medical procedure. He also got my sense of humour. The bed was comfortable and noise level was low. The breakfast restaurant had a lot of choice including gluten free. The buffet food was freshly cooked, hot, and the service was impeccable. Covid risk management was evident and the restaurant was very large, allowing for large distances between diners. The handsome young waiter remembered my preference for coffee on the second morning, which is unusual nowadays. There is an old school Hollywood glamour about the building and the service provided lives up to the expectation that such decor induces in a guest. I look forward to revisiting Prague and staying stay in this hotel again.

Great location! Everything was superb quality - from the excellent various breakfast buffet - in a beautiful decorated Art Nouveau restaurant - to the bedding, bath robe, towels, shower gels etc. My room 408 was very spacious and clean. The English speaking and charming staff was attentive and friendly, they looked after me like I was a princess, nothing was too much trouble, organised a wonderful informative sightseeing tour for me by tour guide Silvia. Every evening, I had a superb dinner in the hotel bar. As an elderly lady on my own, I felt here very safe and looked after. Thank you! Would definitely stay here again!

We spent 3 nights here at the end of August. From the very start we were impressed with the way everything was handled. Petr on the front desk got us settled in, bought the bags up, booked taxi's and gave us advice on sightseeing, even organised the hotel's chauffered limosine to take us back to the airport at the end of our stay.

Our room (302) was fabulous, an executive room with extra large bed, marble bathroom on the front corner of the hotel with views over the surrounding streets. There was a well stocked mini bar and tea and coffee facilities with an impressive Julius Meinl coffee machine. Bath robes and spa slippers were supplied. The large flat screen TV catered for the most popular european languages.

The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from the shops and Wenceslas Square, 10 minutes from the Old Town, Astonomical Clock, Powder Tower and 15 minutes from the Charles Bridge. Opposite the hotel is the Mucha Museum dedicated to Alphonse Mucha who painted so many Art Deco posters and other works of art.

During these Covid-19 days the hotel offered a cooked and continental breakfast in the 2nd floor restaurant and drinks and deserts in the Cafe. The Gourmet Restaurant was closed during our stay. But the were many good restaurants nearby to satisfy everyones tastes.

I would not hesitate to recommend the Art Nouveau Palace Hotel for your city break in Prague!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights as part of a Viking River Cruise extension. The hotel is well known for the people who stayed there over the years but it’s showing it’s age (like us). Viking books there because it’s large enough to support their large number of customers and it’s very centrally located. The room was large and the bed was more comfortable than I anticipated. They provided firm pillows which we liked. The TV channels were very limited but we were only in the room in the evenings. The bathroom was large but the tub is a major safety hazard. It was next to impossible to get in and out of without being a contortionist and the floor was constantly getting wet. We are lucky we did not slip and break our necks. The towels were flimsy and poorly absorbed moisture. Checkin went well but when we got home we had a strange $10 charge on our bill which we did not expect. We never used the minibar so we don’t know where it came from. Lastly avoid the co-located cafe. The food wasn’t bad but the service stinks. The middle aged waiter gave us a dirty look (cut his eyes up) when we said we wanted to split the club sandwich. Then when we were finished we put our cloth napkins in the empty plate. Apparently that’s a big no-no and he let us know in a rude manner. He said they “wash and re-use them”. I sure hope they wash them before they reuse them! I saw him later in the hotel lobby and again he gave me the evil eye. If part of Viking you might not be able to avoid stating there but be aware if it’s limitations.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our recent trip to Prague.
We arrived mid afternoon and was greeted by a very friendly reception person.
It only took a few minutes to be booked in and given our room key.
The room was the most basic but it was huge, clean and very comfortable.
The bathroom is all marble and Beautiful.
I liked the fact that the remote control was sanitised and put in a bag.

Breakfast was delicious, with a huge selection of food to choose from.
Really liked the serve yourself buffet style, including hot drinks.

It is close to a few shopping centres, Wenceslas Square and a 10 minute walk to the Astronomical Clock.

We used the Business centre, which had a computer and printer that you could use free of charge.

It is a very beautiful hotel.
Would definitely stay here again.
Thank you.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Smart hotel in a great location. Rooms lovely & cleaned well too. Breakfast was also very good. Huge choice for all. Only suggestion would be more teabags & a small amount of fresh milk for the rooms & a free bottle of water too.

We were in Prague for 2 full days. Wanted a hotel close to the main train station, on the tram line and that included a killer buffet breakfast. This hotel had it all. We had a 6th floor corner room with a small balcony that had a great view of the Henry's Tower (Jindřišská věž). Comfy beds and a spacious room all fit the bill.

The street outside did have trams running and cars driving past, but with the AC on, and the windows closed, we barely heard it. I saw some other reviews that mentioned the “excessive street noise” and I have no idea what they were talking about.

The breakfast buffet was extensive and the omelette station helped fuel us up each day for our outings. All the food was delicious and there was something for everyone.

The Old Town Square was a 10-15 min easy walk. Wenceslas Square was 5 min, right down the block. We had some fantastic Asian food at some of the local restaurants. There was a great hole in the wall Indian food restaurant on Rúžová that we hit up several times for quick delicious inexpensive meals.

The #6 tram line stops were right down the block. And the Metro stops were at the museum and at Mustek, which were great to use on the way back to the hotel after exploring all around the city.

One note about the metro/tram! Remember to VALIDATE your ticket when you enter the Metro or get on a bus or tram. We bought 24 hour tickets, but didn’t know the validation process and got fined $1000CZK when were were caught by a plainclothes metro official.

From outside it doesn't look Mick special but once you step through those doors you travel to another world.
The hotel is impeccably clean. The service excellent and our room was large, airy and very well furnished. Everything from the 78 inch wide bed to the towels were clean, comfortable and felt like new.
Food in the restaurant and bar was to a high standard as was the buffet breakfast where there was something for everyone and plenty of it.
The hotel is well located only 5 minutes off Wenceslas Square, tram and metro stops.
Prague is also great value for the UK traveller and I'd highly recommend it and this hotel.

Hi, We booked our airport transfer online with Easyjet with whom we booked our trip, however your hotel could book a transfer for you probably. Beware of just calling a taxi on the street. Prague taxi drivers are supposed to be 'chancy'

I phoned the hotel and asked them to pick me up at the airport in the hotel's car. The service was fine. Alternatively, there is a public bus service that runs between the airport and Prague's main railway station, which is a 5 to 10 minute walk uphill from the hotel. You can get the bus ticket in the airport before you go to the bus stop.

No - the electrical sockets are all European 220/240 volt. There are 110v shaver sockets in the bathroom. You are unlikely to find 110v anywhere in Europe other than on a cruise ship.
