We have just returned from a lovely stay in Prague. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and it's in a great location. We had absolutely no complaints about the newly refurbished room and the breakfast was extensive and lovely. If the only complaint is about watered down orange juice, then I think the hotel gets a thumbs up from...

We stayed here end Feb, early March. Our booking voucher said we couldn't check in before 2pm but we arrived at the hotel just after noon. There was no problem in letting us check in early. Staff all friendly and pleasant. They were very willing to point us in the direction of good local restaurants and away from the tourist...

Just had four fabulous days in Prague. Hotel was spotless, buffet extensive (although fruit juice very watered down after day one!?). Room had no bath but shower etc clean and tidy. Tea and coffee free (some reviewers had been charged?). Excellent location minutes from Powder Gate, Designer shopping centre, small supermarket and Square. Helpful staff who recommended local restaurants etc....

I'll keep it short and sweet, as its been almost a year since visiting Prague. The hotel is on what I'd consider the outskirts of the city center, just a short walk from the Powder Gate. I found the staff to be mostly nice and helpful. The younger staff seem more enthusiastic, outgoing, and willing to help than some of...

After reading mainly decent reviews and a few bad ones I thought this hotel would be generally ok and the bad reviews were people with high expectations. However, I was very dissappointed with the hotel. The 2 rooms we had were small and pokey, although the mngt did change 1 room to a larger one which was much better. The first floor absolutely...

We stayed at this hotel between xmas and new year. Prague is a beautiful city and this hotel is perfectly situated to explore it. The hotel is just around the corner from the powder tower and 5 mins to the old town square. The hotel is spotlessly clean, our room on the fourth floor was very comfortable with everything we...

This hotel was rated four star but it really is a three star plus. Small details let it down as a four star ie the bedroom curtains were partly hanging off the rail where they were difficult to pull shut as they were about 15ft tall and there was no pull-chord. There was only a small shower screen so water...

We stayed here for 3 nights in December and thought it excellent value. The hotel is in a superb location, just down the road from the Powder Gate and Municipal Hall and a short walk to Old Town Square. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Our room was fairly small but tastefully decorated. Bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly...

We were disappointed from the moment we walked through the front door. The night manager was rude and unfriendly during the check in process and was more interested in talking to other staff than getting our room organised. This was especially annoying when we had a sleeping child who we were desperate to get into bed. Then we went to...

Myself (30) and my mum (60) booked directly with the hotel and they emailed back with a confirmation and the price. Hotel desk staff were helpful and book tours for you. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast which was a buffet style and you could go back up for more as many times as you wanted. Our room...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
