We endorse all praise that was already written. Let me just add a little story: We went back to the hotel a little late, and the café was already closed. Upon hearing that we had not dined yet, the night watchman offered he would make us something. We went to the closed café, he asked us what we would like,...

Hotel U Raka is definitely a hidden gem in Prague. The hotel is tucked away from the road by a long set of stairs. Once you step onto the property, you feel like you're in a different time and place all together. Its some kind of mix between charming farmhouse, rustic ski chalets, and bed and breakfast. We stayed for...

We had a wonderful 4 nights stay in Uraka with our 3 children (teenager and young adults) ; we had one double room and one triple room. Great comfort, lovely decoration, excellent breakfast and very nice team.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Prague. From the moment you step inside this hotel feels warm, friendly and very comfortable. We stayed in room 5, a superior double and it was perfect for us. The photos give an accurate picture of the hotel and our room (didn't see the inside of any other bedrooms). This...

This old-world hotel (with a delicious and graciously served breakfast on beautiful Czech-dinnerware) is tucked into a peaceful alley behind the Castle. We stayed here several days before our Danube River cruise. The only detriment might be the distance to walk to restaurants...but, on the other hand.. a 5-10 minute walk before/after dinner is a lovely idea in such a...

U Raka was a perfect respite, tucked away from the crowds. Our room was lovely (where else can you have your own well) , and the evenings shared with the night manager and other guests chatting over warm cake and wine were a highlight!

This small hotel, 6 units, very much exceeded our expectations. Prague can get crowded with tourists and this location is on the fringe and very quiet. Still walking distance to the Charles Bridge but even closer to Prague Castle. We arranged a walking tour of the city which started at the hotel and it was excellent. Our room was terrific...

If you want to stay in Prague, and not be in the busy touristy center, enjoy a quiet location with the right amount of attention, beautiful interiors and outdoor spaces - then this is the place! Our first time to Prague and we could not have picked a better place. It is an easy walk to the castle and monastery...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
