I did not chose this hotel from any of the reviews. I chose it based on the responses to specific questions asked and the timing. First visit was good enough for me to come back. This was my second visit. Still love this hotel and service is still good. I was there during the World Hockey games so the hotel...

The Maximilian seems to be a convenient walk to almost anyplace in the city. The rooms are large, very comfortable, and well furnished. The breakfast buffet and 24-hour honor bar are delightful. Service is friendly, attentive, and thoroughly reliable. If I ran a hotel, I would try to hire away any of the Maximilian's staff. This last point is important,...

Service: the staff was helpful with restaurant recommendations, airport shuttles, wake up call, etc. Breakfast: amazing! Spa: so relaxing, and if you make your appointment when you book the hotel, you get a great...

Just returned from 4 nights at this hotel with my sister. The location is perfect to walk to anything, but in a quieter neighborhood than the middle of the square. The breakfast was above and beyond. The service was over the top. The room was large and comfortable. It even has a Zen Garden to enjoy the outdoors.

First: I would recommend this hotel. It's a very nice place in a good location and overall good value for the price. However I had wished for some more attentiveness. The hotel offers "gifts" on the booking page of their site, e.g. a gold fish and sweets. Out of curiosity, we picked both. When we checked in, neither of it...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
