We chose this hotel due to lower price but we had a pleasant surprise. The staff was nice, helped us with guidance about the city. Even in front of the hotel is a tram that goes to the center. Breakfast was varied, there are possibilities of choice. The only problem is at night when traveled street noise is quite disturbing.

As Hotel Otakar was quite cheap, I didn't have high expectations, however I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel looks beautiful from outside and is equally charming inside. Upon arrival the receptionist was extremely helpful, instantly providing us with a free city map, travel help and where we could find certain attractions in very good English. The room itself was clean...

Myself and two friends stayed at this hotel and were very pleasantly surprised. The interior of the hotel is very pretty, our room had amazing high ceilings and was very nice for 3 of us! The service at the hotel was great,we arrived late and the hotel had prebooked a cab for us,we were then able to order hot chocolate...

I stay in Otakar whenever I happen to be in prague for a few days. Just a few stops to the centre by a tram and in the vicinity is to be found the lovely park Havlíčkovy sady aka Grébovka, probably my favorite park in Prague. The staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, wifi is great and...

We stayed here for a week, only arriving home last night. We paid 650 CZK (approx £23) to get to the hotel, which we are told was a decent fare. Usually we get public transport, but after being awake for 30+ hours we couldn't be bothered with the hassle. On the way back to the airport a week later we...

My husband and I just returned from Prague 2 days earlier than planned as we could not stay at the Hotel Otakar any more. We paid 500 Euros for 5 nights non-refundable and had to buy new plain tickets to escape this nightmare. So, where do I begin? 1) The building and the rooms have not been painted for a...

-Service: the staff is super friendly, no questions about that. I did have an issue with the wifi in my room ( it didn't work for my entire stay of 3 days-2 nights) so I had to stay downstairs at the reception to use it and kept buying hot teas and coffees to keep warm (the reception main door was...

I was in Prague for 3 days in November. The room was clean and nice, and the WIFI signal was strong (It's very important to backpacker)! The tram station outside the hotel was temporarily relocated at that moment, so I needed to go to other station for transportation. Well... But I would like to say the staffs are very nice...

I recently stayed at this hotel with my 3 daughters on a 4 night stay in Prague as a birthday present. We booked everything online, and I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised at the hotel. We had booked 2 double rooms, however we were given a family room which was big and on the ground floor. The...
