I don't want to be rude or anything but this is the least clean hostel I have ever stayed in. I couldn't even brush my teeth in the hostel during my whole trip. Other than that very very important feature of the hostel, the location of it was literally fantastic! 3mins to the old city center👌🏼If you do not really...

A pretty nice hostel in the very very very centre of Prague. It is really cool that you can just leave your place and get immediately involved into a Prague cultural vortex. And pay a very small sum of money. If you want to spend money on beer and museums and not on expensive places, I recommend it to you,...

Franz Kafka is a great choice for people travelling alone or with friends. The location is fantastic with just 1 min walking distance from old town square and just 2 min walk from Starometska metro station. Nice place to stay in old town of Prague. Friendly staff , and a very clean and quiet hostel. We spent two nights here and could go walking everywhere. On the other hand if you want to cook your own food the kitchen is a little bit short of hardware.

The hostel is at the heart of the old town of prague. It is just a minute walk from the metro Staroměstska. There is a tram stop at the end of the street that will get you to many other places like prague castle. The hostel is walking distance from the main town square and jewish quarter of prague as...

We had a quite luxurious 2 bed room in this hostel: large, matching furniture, very comfy beds. There are enough toilets and showers. Very well situated, 5 min away from Charles Bridge, and right next to the Old Jewish Cemetery. Good breakfast too, although not the cheapest. THe only thing I didn't like was the fact that the kitchen only...

My partner and I stayed here in August in a private room for three nights and were very pleased with our stay. It was very affordable and the staff were very accommodating. There was a mix up with our booking on arrival but Monica, the new staff member on the reception desk, made some calls and managed to find us...

Only stayed one night here and it was pleasant enough. The entrance to the hostel is a little strange and there was a lot of stairs- although we later realised there was a lift! The room was clean but pretty basic and it was very hot in there. The showers were nice but the lights are on sensors and they...

The hostel is in a very central location next to the main square, making it easy to explore Prague. The reception staff were helpful and the rooms clean, with the shared shower facilities surprisingly okay. Overall, really good value for money.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

“We had room for 2 people then moved to room with 4 beds. The double room was spacious, but it is located just next to the dorm room so it can be noisy. The last room at the back (room with 4 beds) is the most quiet room but heater is not so warm.”
