Wow! One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Such a cozy and close-knit atmosphere - the staff was friendly and helpful and we had familiy dinners and "pubcrawling" every single night. Location is great as well, as it is literally 5 min walking distance from the main attraction: Charles Bridge! Thanks, we will be coming back soon!

Absolutely loved staying in The RoadHouse!

It's a small hostel space, which makes meeting people really easy, especially if you are travelling alone as I was. The staff is incredibly friendly and will assist you in any way you need, from planning trips to chatting about your day. They truly made you feel like you were a part of a small family.

Every night they also organize events, which ususally consists of dinner and then going out to meet the others over at the MadHouse Hostel. From there you go on to a different location each time, usually a place to grab a beer and have a chat and if you want to stay out late, they'll even take you clubbing if you want. It's a great way to eat a cheap, but good meal and socialize, whilst also experiencing Prague at night. And after all of that, you come 'home' to a nice and more quiet hostel, to get a good nights sleep.

The amenities of the hostel are also great! The bathroom was really clean and modern and the showers fantastastic, the beds were sturdy and equiped with blackoutcurtains and lights and the top bunks even had a small fan installed. You got your own towel and storage space, one large roll-out space big enough for all your stuff and one area to hang your towel and put your toiletries. They don't offer breakfast, but they do always have some cornflakes or cocoapuffs available for you if you want, as well as some other food, like pasta, in the guest fridge.

All in all, couldn't recommend it more. The RoadHouse is really charming, the ameneties are great and the staff fantasic. A great place to meet fellow travelers. Would love to come again!

I just spent 5 nights at the Roadhouse and I'm sad to have left. The staff and volunteers are all absolutely wonderful and despite bars and restaurants being closed due to the covid health crisis they all made sure we had the best visit possible. There was dinner for a small fee every night and afterwards we went to the Madhouse (their sister party hostel) to continue the fun so we wouldn't disturb the others who wanted to sleep. I'm a solo traveller and it was a great place to meet others and socialize safely while having a good time. An added bonus is that it's located within walking distance to pretty much anything you might want to see.

They were very careful about cleanliness, hand washing, and other sanitary measures in place so I felt very safe there during the current health situation.

Roadside hostel boasts the most cleanly space and modern shower I have ever experienced, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, and most certainly the friendliest and most humane hostel staff I have ever encountered. You can really see that the owners and staff at Roadside hostel cares.

Unfortunately to them and myself, I was thrown out of a club, beaten, and pepper sprayed and didn't even have a booking for that night (I had one for the night before), but they were still humane enough to take me in, listen to my story without judgement, and let me use their amenities. Like, I was there for a shift change, so I had to explain my situation twice to two different staff members and both of them without judgement just tried to help me. This level of consistency to care with the staff has got to be the most wonderful thing I've experienced. And no doubt that this is a core value for the hostel being passed down from owners to staff and to patrons. So, yes. I appreciate and sincerely recommend this hostel.

It was an amazing place to stay! Great for solo travellers to meet people. It's really spacious and all the facilities are exceptional. Everyone who worked there was incredibly nice and helpful, sharing their favourites place to go and eat. It's the best hostel I've ever stayed in! I definitely recommend it.

Such a cool place, cool vibe and small - so it's cozy and comfortable and you can get to know people. Everyone was so nice, the place was clean, the beds were comfy, and the living room was cozy.
At night you can have dinner for only 100 czk. They have beer on site for czk. You can get your laundry done. After that, you can join to go to a bar followed by a club, going out is with the sister hostel Madhouse.
Being a female solo traveler, I never felt unsafe. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

I had a wonderful time by myself at the RoadHouse hostel in Prague. The area is great and the rooms are just what you need for a lovely stay. The staff are very helpful with any inquiries you might have and they do a great job organising social events for the evening to get to know your hostel mates and those from the MadHouse Hostel. Highly recommended!

The best hostel experience so far! The apartment style really makes it easy to facilitate and make friendships and meet people. The facilities were also cleaned daily and super pristine. Staff was beyond awesome with suggestions and recommendations at the go and personal help and knowledge that make planning extremely easy and getting around. Don’t hesitate to book it! I ended staying 3 days longer because the people and staff were hard to leave!!!

This was my first time traveling alone and staying at a hostel, and I think it will be hard to top! Everyone was so nice, the place was clean, the beds were comfy, and the living room was cozy. The hostel is not too big which creates a very familiar environment.

1. Are the drawers under the beds lockable? 2. Is there a smoking area?
Prague, Czech Republic
Hi there, Thanks for answering Claire :) We are happy to lend you a lock if you need one for the under-bed storage, and do have a small balcony where you can smoke. We shut the balcony overnight for noise, but you are welcome to smoke out there from 8am - 10pm. Kind regards, The RH Crew
Prague, Czech Republic
Hi Dharmen, It's not a stupid question at all! It's hard to say at any given time how many are solo travellers, but we keep a group limit of 4 people year round. In general most of our guests travel by themselves or in pairs with the occasional group of 3 or 4. We organise activities each night (usually a family dinner followed by a bar or two) so it's easy for guests to meet each other and our staff. Don't hesitate if you have any other questions! Kind regards, RH Crew

Hello, Guests are more than welcome to leave their bags with us for the day before or after they check out. There is no lock on the shelves for day storage, but you can always leave small valuables with us at the reception desk. There is (huge) lockable storage in the dorm rooms. Kind regards, The RH Crew
