This is a nice atmospheric residence literally next to the Castle steps (which is good if you're walking to the old town, because you don't have to climb any steps to get back to the residence). Its an easy, very atmospheric 15-minute walk to the Old Town; if that's going to be too far for you, you should stay elsewhere....

We booked it through Hotwire but we were not informed that it was an apartment and not a hotel. Besides that, the bed is mediocre. It is tiny, the mattress is horrible and the pillows are flat as pancakes like someone sad here in trip advisor. The towels are old and rough enough to damage your skin lol. It is...

We spent 8 days at the Residence Thunovska 3 years ago(November 2013). We had the Lorenz apartment. The residence was very charming and romantic. The room was clean and in great order. We looked forward to heading downstairs every morning for breakfast at the quaint cafe. What a neat and cozy place to enjoy breakfast that was served by a...

I was staying for just one night but it was an amazing experience staying in an old building yet clean and well maintained. The funny thing is that I was given 5 keys (!!!) to access my room :) But the amazing thing was as I open the front door I was at the first step of the famous Zamecke...

The apartment is located in the old building, but very neat and clean inside. In two steps from the front door the stairs to the Prague Castle begin, and you can see the roofs of the old Prague buildings from your window. It is like a travel to the past but very comfortable. We stayed in 1 bedroom apartment, but...

Thanks very much for your kind words. I am glad you enjoyed your stay in our Veronika apartment. It's one of our newly reconstructed rooms in our 16th century residence. And, yes, our area of Mala Strana is quiet and full of hidden treasures. I love to point out a few places to guests that often go overlooked. Thanks!

If you are looking for a place to stay near Prague Castle, it is hard to imagine you could find a better place for the price. Located in Little Quarter in a 16th century building just a stone's throw from the steps leading to the castle, it has a kitchen, very large bedroom with queen size bed and a sleeper...

First of all, if you are looking for contemporary modern amenities, then this is not for you. Having said that, if you are looking for an old world charm, then this is the right place. It is located in Mala Strana, literally the bottom of the steps that leads to the Castle. You will appreciate this after a day of...

Having stayed here previously 7 years ago I can say it hasn't changed, and that's a good thing. We were well looked after from the moment we walked in. We checked in early and they made sure our room was ready for us, which was lovely. Brilliantly situated tourism wise, right at the bottom of the steps leading to the...

This is our 5th visit to Prague. We stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Big rooms plus a hydro massage bath! Perfect central location in Mala Strana on a quiet street. The staff are so helpful we will definitely return. Highly recommend.

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. Very clean, comfortable room. Kitchen is small and has everything you need. After 2 days we got new towels and the trash was taken out. Location is excellent. Within 10 minutes walk we got to all important sites in the old city. Castle in right outdoor. 5-7 minutes walk from...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
