Amarilis hotel was a nice choice for me and a group of friends. The location was good, relatively close to all main attractions. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bathroom was lovely and the only criticism is that they need new towels. It was very unfortunate that right in front of the hotel major road works were taking...

Great location, great price, helpful staff, and with comfortable good size rooms. It will not be the last time we stay here, could become our Prague stay point every time! Didn't try the wellness service but looks fine if wanted.

Hotel Amarilis has an excellent location- near the Old town, clean rooms, delicious breakfast (so many sweet, vegetable, fruit but also ham and bread) and comfortable beds. The staff was kind and helpful.

Here for two nights. Hotel a bit dated, but rooms seem to be upgraded and quite modern. We had a third floor room with a balcony overlooking the street. It was not noisy like I thought that it might be. The bed was ok, being a bit hard and the duvets and pillows were giant and oversized.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is friendly, small and good value for the price. Recommended for gluten free diets. It has neat, clean rooms, the bathroom is modern, its warm and you can walk to the centre of prate in 5 minutes. In the evening, after walking through Prague, you can return to the hotel and have...

Nice hotel in a great location with fairly good breakfast. Bed was really good. I'd say that everything is up to the level. Definitely not a hotel you'd be spending time time but more of a night over hotel while exploring Prague

This hotel is about 2-3 blocks away from the main square where there are many shopping opportunities along with some dining. Its about a 10 minute walk to the astronomical clock and there is a bus stop only 2 blocks away that will take you straight over the river to the palace and cathedral. Our room was on the top...

Stayed in a double room. The hotel is centrally located 15 minutes of walk from the historical center. The room was comfortable, the mattress was great and the bathroom amenities were new and clean. The windows are doubled so there is no noise from the road outside. The staff was very helpful and arranged a taxi for us that cost...

Location was OK, a little further out but on par with what we were willing to pay for and therefore cannot complain. Radisson Blue Alcron is much more closer to the main street but more than what we wanted to spend. So Amarilis is at least a 10min walk from the city centre and to the airport bus station, probably...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
