Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

WOW, best steak sandwich ever, maybe it’s the magic of bush meeting the ocean but the food is amazing and wonderful hospitality, Gwyn is one of those awesome people that in 10 minutes you feel like you have been friends for a long time. There is no doubt next time we are in the area we will have dinner there again, also the Riddoch Shiraz is fantastic!

We stayed at the Beechy for two nights with a family of four( 6yo and 2 yo). The rooms are old and there was a tile missing in the bathroom and the carpet had some marks on it. But for the price it was great and most of all it was clean and safe for my young family. We chose The Beechy as it’s right in the middle of all the waterfalls, redwoods, Otway fly. This made it easy for us to take day trips and head into Apollo Bay for a swim. We had dinner both nights at the Beechy Hotel. The food was AMAZING!!!!! The owners are so warm and welcoming. The pub itself is very country, we had a visitor from a local dog. My girls were so excited lol. Tables and toilets nice and clean. Standard menu for lunch and dinner and Pizza night on Sunday nights.

Dropped in late on a Tuesday night after being referred from our accommodation hostess. So glad we went. The ambiance, bar and people are fantastic. We all went for the OMG burger, and it truly is OMG- bloody huge and tasty. Thanks for a great night guys

We did a 4 day cycling trip in the Otways. Our first day was Port Campbell to Beech Forest. We arrived late arvo in pouring rain and freezing conditions. The food and fire in the pub was a lifesaver! We stayed the night in the hotel rooms. The kitchen provided us with egg and bacon rolls for brekkie.

My husband and I went to the Beechy Hotel for dinner. We were slightly early, so had a drink at the bar first. The bar maid and the locals were all so friendly, happily chatting with us like we were one of them- it was such an inclusive, community feel- we loved it and had lots of laughs! When it ticked over to ordering time, they were prompt and the food was exactly what you wanted from a pub meal, hearty and tasty. The woodfire and resident dog added to the cozy, homely feel of the place. Would highly recommend a visit and would go again ourselves in a heartbeat.

My wife and I stopped by the Beechy for lunch. Our lab pup enjoyed the outside deck while we enjoyed a huge burger, grilled chicken salad and excellent chips. Nothing beats a perfect burger and a beer at the Beechy. Great staff, so friendly and helpful. Go!

Came here with mates when passing through. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the menu choices are varied and broad, and prices are very fair. We all had different meals, and all were EXCELLENT. They weren't the fastest to come out, but personally I find that reassuring as it suggests it's all freshly prepped to order. Food was all hot and tasty (nothing left sitting under heat lamps for ages, like back home!) and even the side salads were well presented, crisp, and delicious. Honestly, easy recommendation. We were all happy, and my compliments to the chef(s) as well as the friendly happy staff!

Only place close to where we were camping for the night, they had plenty of choice on the menu and very delicious food at not a bad price! Local pub hangout vibe with tables to eat at and a pool table too. Would recommend to anyone driving past!

I'm just drifting back home through the Otway's after attending the Airshow and of of course "The Beechy's" on the "must do" itinerary. Here I am confronted by the best beer batter ever and a fresh bit o' gummy shark!!! What's a bloke to do?
