This is an outstanding resort--probably the best on Efate. The villas are huge, beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped. The grounds are gorgeous. Bikes, kayaks, etc are free, readily available, and in great condition.

Access to the water is easy and safe. The coral is recovering from 2 cyclones and crown of thorns starfish, but the water is clear and warm with lots of fish.

The resort is on the lee side of the tradewinds, which means there are minimal waves, and breezes are nice, not excessive.

The Restaurant is beautiful and very good. There is a pretty pool, but we always swam out front instead.

The resort is close enough to downtown Port Vila (by road or boat) and the airport to be convenient, but feels romantic and secluded.

The owners, Mark and Candice, are extremely interesting, involved, and helpful. Lots of great stories and advice. The Staff were all lovely, friendly, helpful people.

Guests at the resort, and Paradise Cove restaurant patrons (local, guest, and expat) are also extremely interesting. We met more fascinating people in Vanuatu in a few weeks than other places in years.

We had a rental car and were on Efate longer than we'd intended because Air Vanuatu's collapse made getting to other islands very diffiicullt. (made it to Pentecost and Tanna; didn't make it to Malekula or Santo) We didn't see any other resorts that seemed nearly as nice as ours.

Staff and management are more than accommodating, patient and will bend over backwards to make guests happy. Well thought out resort setting, with the “Nakamal” at the centre of the resort. Very impressed with the amazing New Year’s Eve dinner and celebrations that took place (for the extra cost of the event, it was good value).

A beach strip with character where one can escape looking out at the peaceful sea past the pretty pier. Only issue is beach strip area can get crowded if restaurant only guests decide to use the beach. Otherwise the beach strip is adequate in accomodating the ten villas of hotel guests. The pool is well maintained but not huge, nonetheless it blends in beautifully between the “Nakamal “ and beach strip.

Overall, rate the resort highly for this price bracket and would recommend. Rooms were clean and the restaurant food was awesome. Constance and Marc really make this place work and are great at creating a relaxed vibe for stressed out travelers looking to unwind. I would go back.

I can highly recommend Paradise Cove Resort. If you want a relaxing and peaceful holiday that feels twice as long as the time you stayed, this is the place to go.

The staff are incredibly friendly and the owners Marc and Constance make sure all your holidays needs are catered for and that the resort is well run.

Everything is done to make your holiday experience a memorable one. We will definitely go back after exploring Vanuatu.

There are plenty of activities cycling, canoeing and snorkelling which is available at the resort with amazing coral and varied fish species. You can feed them and the water literally boils there are so many of them. Equipment is supplied as part of your stay and its all in good condition and free to use.

External activities are also easy to organise and day visits from this location are in striking distance by taxi or bus. The resort is not too big and busy so you can relax on the beach or in a hammock and just chill without the need to go anywhere.

The acommodation is clean and comfortable and there is aircon for the heat of summer. The cabins have a fridge and stove if you want a meal away from the restaurant which also offers a wide range of excellent food to suit most tastes. The bar is also well stocked if you after a cocktail. There is a happy hour everyday for
a scenic sundowner

The resort is great for kids and my son and daughter aged 11 and 15 just loved the place.

If you considering a visit to Vanuatu don't overlook this hidden gem.

The photos don't do the property justice! Paradise Cove is a stunning, small and private resort located in front of a spectacular reef and only 15 minutes from Port Vila. The staff were wonderful and warm, including the owners Constance and Mark who made us feel so welcome during our stay. Our bungalow was beautifully maintained, modern and comfortable. While you can relax, eat, snorkel, kayak and bike ride at the resort, the staff are also generous with their knowledge about the best places on Efate to see its incredible unspoiled beauty and engage with the unique local culture. Can't recommend Paradise Cove highly enough.

My family and I went to Vanuatu for my mums 50th Birthday and due to some difficulties with a previous resort which we had originally booked, we decided to leave and then we found Paradise cove. We walked in without a booking and was welcomed by the owners and the staff with open arms. The owner Constance arranged accommodation on the spot for us. We had the most amazing time there, they provided free snorkelling. kayaks and lots of games to play. The place is set up so beautifully, you could easily spend the whole day there relaxing by the crystal clear water, snorkelling with the many different colour fish and even lay by the pool.
My mums birthday was made extra special by the friendly kind staff who brought breakfast to our huts in the morning and even sang happy birthday when we celebrated dinner by the water later that evening. They have created a beautiful entertainment area where you can eat play games and swim by the pool. Some morning Constance and Mark the owner would also be in that area and we would have many good conversation with them. They are wonderful people and have a beautiful family. We felt so welcome there and nothing was ever a hassle for them. The only problem, it was too short a stay. We highly recommend Paradise cove to everyone. The staff are so friendly and you are always greeted with the sweetest smile.
Thank you for making this an unforgettable stay.

Marc and Constance have done a superb job in creating this wonderful place. The place is beautiful and is positioned in a great location that you are far enough from Port Vila that it is quiet and peaceful and has stunning beaches such as honeymoon beach close by, but also close enough that you can get into town quickly and easily if you ant/need.
Vanuatu's people are amazingly friendly, however the staff at the resort take a notch above and are very welcoming and helpful! A special thanks to Edna and Noelyn who were awesome!
The resort for us was perfect, the accommodation you get is spacious, high quality and has everything you might need. The restaurant/bar made some amazing food and drinks which you can enjoy with a great sea view. It was also great to be able to use the on sight bikes and kayaks to explore the local area. Also the snorkeling is a must! The coral isn't the best however the marine life is fantastic, we saw huge amounts of different fish including a few lion fish which I have always wanted to see, a large moray eel and some sea snakes!
Marc and Constance were great hosts throughout the stay and were very friendly and welcoming and were a great balance of social but also gave you space as you wanted. We stayed for 5 days but I wish we stayed longer! We were lucky enough to get engaged here and it was such an amazing spot to do it, Constance was great at helping me make the perfect evening to propose! I genuinely couldn't recommend this place enough! We will be back for sure! Matt and Scarlet

Dear Constance and Marc, thank you for letting me be here!
The resort is a piece of paradise, fantastically located, far enough away from the city (about 30 minutes) and therefore very quiet, but still central to explore the island.
The bungalows are made exclusively from natural materials and are so lovingly furnished! Paintings on the walls, wooden decorations and shells everywhere, fresh flowers in all rooms every day. There is plenty of space everywhere, in the living room, in the bedroom, in the fully equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, dishes, cutlery, fresh local Tanna coffee...). If you set off very early to explore, the fridge is filled with breakfast, fresh fruit, fresh juice, etc. The bathroom is divided into a shower, washbasin, and toilet. The bedrooms have air conditioning, which you don't really need as there is always a gentle breeze. The terraces are generously equipped with a table, chairs, sun loungers, and a hammock.
The kitchen and bar offer everything your heart desires. Fresh avocado or coconut for breakfast? Of course, it grows in the garden, it couldn't be fresher. The food is excellent and the bar has a fine selection of drinks on offer. The entire team consists exclusively of employees who live on site, are always friendly and in a good mood and can anticipate every guest's wish.
The sea is like in a picture book, crystal clear and gently rippling. The fish come up close! There is plenty of water sports equipment available, from fins to masks and snorkels to canoes, SUPs and bicycles.
I miss the nice conversations with all of you every day! And you are at the top of the list for my next stay in the South Seas!
I look forward to seeing you again soon and send my best wishes from Germany!

We spent 10 days at Paradise Cove, it was not Paradise (we are not ready to go there yet) but it is close to it.
If you want to enjoy a lazy, sunny, uncluttered, beautiful tropical beach environment in a single or two bed-room villa set in an immaculate garden setting, this should be very high on your list.
The well-appointed and furnished palm thatch roofed villas are set in the garden to provide a sense of privacy. All are a very short walk from the private beach.
A dining gazebo right on the beach, with a good menu and kind, gentle and attentive staff means breakfast, lunch and dinner are a pleasure.
The owners and managers are a delightful, capable couple who care for their guests' comfort and enjoyment at the resort.

Constance, Marc and their team of dedicated and friendly local staff have managed to create a resort which is exceptional. From arriving to an extremely comfortable villa bedecked with local flowers, to the 'jungle drum' call to happy hour, and the relaxed, informal and welcoming feel of everyone made us instantly 'at home'. If you snorkel, the jetty provides easy and immediate access to coral reefs teeming with a huge variety of fish and sea life. Absolutely magical, and among the best we've seen in extensive travels. We'd without reservation recommend a stay at Paradise Cove.

We spent a wonderful, relaxing week in a comfortable 2 bedroom villa, with a terrace with beach chairs, hammock and a bench. It rained most afternoons for a bit - the covered terrace was a great place to enjoy the tropical weather without getting wet.

Constance and Marc are marvellous hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The engaging staff were welcoming and quickly remembered our preferences. We ate magnificently at Beach Fare, The Nakamal and most evenings took advantage of in Villa dining (no additional charge), and the cocktails were excellent. The breakfast (included) had small changes every other day so that even after a week we were still enjoying it.

Wifi is a bit patchy especially in the villa (hurricane proof buildings are just more solid!) but this was not an issue as we were always able to connect at Nakamal.

We had some days where the water of beautiful Mele Bay was still and snorkelling from the jetty was wonderful. Snorkelling equipment, reef shoes, paddle boards and kayaks are available for guest to use. We also went scuba diving with Big Blue Dive and they were able to do pick up and drop off from the jetty. The small sandy beach was lovely to relax and read a book.

Constance organised a car/driver for us so that we could explore the island. On departure when our driver was a bit late, she made certain that we were relaxed by telling us that someone from the resort would drive us if the car did not arrive in time.

A perfect resort to cocoon and recharge.

Hey just wondering if the beach is a white sandy beach and if popular for swimming?
Answer from mgraul19
Sydney, Australia8 contributions7 helpful votes
No, the beach isn’t a typical white sandy beach. It’s easiest to enter the water off of the dock due to the coral. There are chairs to sunbathe however and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. A white sandy beach is just a short bike ride away (10 minutes I think).

Am quite sure babies are allowed by Paradise Cove .....as a parent I'm not sure I'd take a baby here, especially if they are mobile at all. The beach is quite accessible, as is the pool. Also, the bungalows have no air-con so if it's hot your little one could be quite uncomfortable making for disturbed sleep for you as well. Hope this helps.

Hi Barbara no you can eat either at paradise cove or go into town. They have little buses you can get. We used to get picked up by a little bus which paradise cove organised there and back. All reasonably priced. Town is about a 10-15 minute drive hope that helps
