We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary during a fabulous five-day stay at Bosque del Cabo. On our special day, we rose before 6 a.m. and, while brushing teeth, saw two agoutis racing at break neck speed across the lawn into the forest. Who was chasing them? After a quick coffee in the lodge, we headed to the trails passing several...

My husband and I recently spent three days at Bosque del Cabo on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica - one of the most remote parts of the country. It was beautiful - surrounded by jungle and with a fantastic view of the Pacific ocean from our lovely thatched-roof cabin. The staff are terrific -- friendly and helpful and the...

We spent six days at Bosque del Cabo in February. It is a gorgeous place with delightful accommodations and good food. Our deluxe casita had a fabulous view of the Pacific 500 feet below. The sound of cicadas, birds and monkeys were a delightful backdrop. There is lovely hiking right from the lodge. There is abundant wildlife. The staff is...

I took my teenage daughters here for a rainforest adventure and we had a great time. We stayed in one of the deluxe Cabinas because it had a loft and a great view of the Pacific Ocean but all of the Cabina's had something special to offer and were all really well kept. The Cabina's are sturdy little buildings with...

We spent two wonderful nights at Bosque del Cabo at the beginning of May. It was simply heaven. The grounds are gorgeous, the wildlife abundant, and the cabins are simply wonderful. All, but the two in the garden, are perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You just can't ask for a better view. Even the view from your...

I took my 10 year old son with me on a wildlife adventure in Costa Rica, and we only had 6 nights available. This forced us to prioritize our location, and given our goal of seeing the most wildlife possible in this short amount of time, the Osa Peninsula made a lot of sense - the most biodiverse place in...

Bosque del Cabo is a unique and beautiful property - stunning ocean views and a huge array of fantastic wildlife! Loved hiking the trails and cooking our own meals in our stunning casa. We were met at the Puerto Jimenez airstrip by our driver from Bosque del Cabo who we had arranged to take us to the grocery store in...

Lives up to all of the hype from minute you arrive to the welcome drink until the last day when you have to (ugh) leave. If you love sunsets over the ocean, unspoiled scenery, monkeys overhead, up close and personal encounters with other rainforest critters and excellent yet laidback service, this is it. A special shout out to Heylin, who...

Unforgettable vacation! Lots of wildlife and adventure! Rooms: We stayed in Mariposa. It is the room closest to the rainforest with an ocean view. This cabina probably has the most privacy. Our view was obstructed with several trees. The plus about this room was the wonderful bathtub! If I were to stay again I would pick Congo or Lapa –...

Absolutely beautiful setting overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Overall it was a more comfortable trip than I expected. Active management and a very attentive staff. The wildlife and hikes are well worth the trip. They did a good job with the food options and the knowledge of the surrounding environment. The only downside was the lack of hot water but it...
