We loved our stay at Tucan Terra! We saw more animals here than anywhere else we stayed on the Osa Peninsula. Every day, we woke up to the sound of the ocean, a beautiful sunrise, and monkeys swinging in the trees all around the house. Tucans, red macaws, green parrots, iguanas, coati, blue morpho butterflies can all be seen while...

My partner and I stayed for 2 weeks in early Nov. Beautiful weather for 11 days before the Osa was badly affected by a rare weather event that saw torrential rain for days on end. We were fine though! House not affected at all and we left a day later than planned although then stuck in Puerto Jimenez for a...

We stayed with Van for two weeks in February on the top floor. It was a magical jungle experience. This was our 3rd trip to Costa Rica and 4th to Central America and for seeing monkeys and birds, this was the best I have seen. From our balcony area whilst sipping drinks, we saw three species of monkeys as well...

We stayed only 3 days but truly loved the place. Van is an excellent host and we had regrets not being able to stay more. The garden, the little apartment, the view the jungle all aroung. We even had some friendly monkey coming by. Van showed us we coud fed them, but only with bananas :) It was SOOOOO COOL!...

It's now a couple of months since we stayed at Tucan Terra, but we've thought of it often. In the weeks after we arrived back to a gloomy British March, it was the place in Costa Rica that our minds most frequently flashed back to. The colours of the garden are so vibrant, they live in the memory, as do...

Tucan Terra was recommended by a friend and staying there was absolutely wonderful! The views, the food, beaches, the park like grounds and cabinas were perfect. Truly a piece of paradise! Van is the greatest of hosts and cooks a fantastic multi course meal every night! There are also surfboards and boogie boards that we were able to use. One...

My friend and I spent 6 days at Tucan Terra which is set on a rocky bluff above Golfo Dulce/Pacific Ocean. It is located between Backwash Bay and Playa Matapalo and both are close walking distances. The tropical gardens are very well maintained and everyday we were entertained by the troops of Spider, Howler, and White-Faced Monkeys. Yes, all 3...

Please if you go here don't ruin this nirvana oasis for the rest of us. Amazing, uplifting and one of my favorite places on earth. It's hard to get to but worth it. Bring food and bring a book. Go moonlight surfing, respect the land, nature and locals. Thanks

I just had the pleasure of staying at Tucan Terra for the second time. Originally stayed in this piece of paradise 5 years ago and always hoped I'd be back, just left after a relaxing week here. My mother (76), brother, sister in law and their two small children (3 yrs, 9 months) and I stayed in the clean, airy...

We stayed at Tucan Terra for 5 nights in the two storied house run by a wonderful host - Van. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget. The house sits in a beautiful setting surrounded by well kept Gardens that have many exotic, colourful birds flying around in them. It's surrounded by tall trees and the resident...
