Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Family and friends enjoyed this place. Large open area to camp, plenty of room for the kids to run around. Host James was very friendly and accommodating. Kids were stoked on the last day as he brought the horses out for the kids to get up real close and have a ride.
Good amenities and cafe on site. Fire wood at great price too.

Although beside a main road, it wasn't busy.

Playground plus Leo the pony, chickens and peacocks too.

We are all looking forward to coming back on the school holidays. There was even mention of more farm yard animals.

When the waterfront resort will be finished, it will be the place to visit!

We went with some friends for the weekend and found this place to be a extremely friendly rustic park. Staff are always friendly and happy to help anyway they can and the owner of the Park (James) is the most down to earth friendly guy I’ve meet at any place like this and highly recommend for families with young kids to go and enjoy the peace and quiet this park as to offer. Thank you for being so happy and friendly.

This place is great, was able to take my fur baby with me. Staff are kind and helpful. It was a busy time but they were never rude. Kids had a ride on the horse, fed the lamb and goat. They said the best part was collecting the small bits of wood for the open fire to roast the marshmallows.

I had to cancel my booking over phone because it is going to rain & thunderstorm this weekend & camp site team did not return my full money back. It seems they do not care about people's health & safety, they do not believe in ZERO HARM & do not treat people well. I will never refer this site to anyone. I am very unhappy with their customer service. I could not get my money back even though weather condition is a common reason to cancel booking. They are not customer-focused.

You have got the wrong caravan park name. You are referring to Atkinson Dam Waterfront Caravan Park. NOT Atkinson Dam Holiday Park.

A beautiful website that attract you to the site. the staff are friendly however not very well trained. It is more like a construction site with debris left everywhere and many permanent tenants (living in not very tidy cabins) which is not giving a good view to the park. the toilets and showers are not clean.

There are 2 establishments at Atkinson Dam. One is called Atkinson Dam WATERFRONT Caravan Park and the just simply Atkinson Dam Caravan Park. The Waterfront one is very seedy and undesirable in other words "dodgy'. The other park is immaculate and the owners are spotless in themselves and very friendly. This is a quiet locate but nice for those who just want to fish or boat.

Stayed here on our trip in a campervan and was given a newly installed pitch on level ground. All of the site has had a revamped, even the older facilities have been given a make over. The new kitchen had everything except an oven, and all very clean. The lake is well worth having a stroll to as the birds and wildlife are stunning. Downside no WiFi as yet, but all in all recommended.

We had a great time at the waterfront caravan park. It may not be the most modern and some things are basic but everyone proved friendly and the owner and his staff were extremely helpful. It is also obvious that management are implementing radical changes to improve the park.My wife and I, aged pensioners, felt completely safe in our tent at the waters edge and our well behaved dog was willingly accepted. We shall return.

Stayed at the holiday park (NOT the waterfront park) and its a great little park! New owners have gone above and beyond to make the park enjoyable...there is an outside fireplace, they put a jumping castle up for the kids...plenty of room for the kids to ride their bikes, campfires are allowed...really recommend this park!
