We came here as we were at Stourhead House and Gardens. Lovely pub however it was slightly awkward as when we arrived so did a wedding party and we felt as if we were intruding. It would have been nice if perhaps there were some discrete signs up letting people know that there was a private party taking place. The...

Walked from Longleat caravan site, peaceful walk. Had a nice meal in the garden room. Friendly staff and a nice ambience. Good food, I had the steak baguette and my partner the salmon and mashed potatoes!! Good quality and value.

We booked in for a two night break, stayed in room 4. Very pleasant room, views over the courtyard, large comfortable bed, quality linen. Warm bathroom, hand held shower over bath taps, plenty of hot water. Nice to have adjustable heating as we don't enjoy hot Hotel rooms, could have done with better lighting, bedside lamps quite dim. No mobile...

A few years ago on visiting Stourhead, we had a sandwich lunch in the Red Room which was excellent. On this occasion, we lunched in the Bar Area. We were attracted to lunch at the Inn by the traditional Fish Pie topped with Cheddar Mash and Peas as per the lunch menu shown on the web. When we endeavoured to...

We turned up at 11 am with the fire on and managed to grab a seat next to the fire. Very good start. We then ordered a hot chocolate, we noticed two full hot chocolates left on a table outside and commented how they must be bad but we went ahead and ordered one anyway. It was terrible. Definitely couldn't...

This hotel is an old building from the 18th/19th century so do expect some character, including uneven floors and low ceilings. It is situated just up the road from Stourhead's lake and is perfectly located as a base for walks and to visit this National Trust property. Parking is just across the courtyard with spaces allocated to guests. Wi-fi is...

This is a nice enough pub in an excellent heritage location. The parking and facilities are good. Interior is warm and fairly cosy but the food is pretty lousy and the Vegetarian option is poor. If you are aftee good grub you'd be much better off in the nearby National Trust cafe.

Lovely old pub on the Stourhead Estate, which is owned by The National Trust. Caters for snacks, lunches and dinners. Rooms are also available. Friendly staff, and very good food. Cask ales and decent wines. Popular with walkers.
