The venue was a perfect setting for a wedding, with The Manor, beautiful gardens, and The Chapel where they held their Ceremony. Only a small wedding of 40 guests, with dinner following. Fairy lights, lanterns set up outside for the pre dinner canapes and drinks, along with games such as skittles, croquet, bocce while the String Quartet played. The Dining...

We emailed Woodlands directly 6 weeks prior to a family wedding being held there to make our booking. No response. Rang them 4 days later and spoke to a man who was apologetic about the lack of response and took our booking and my credit card number. Anyway we showed up on the day and they had lost our booking......

Having stayed at Woodlands of Marburg previously, we are delighted to hear that they serve Sunday brunch in the café at the back of their delightful grounds. There’s a mix of small and main meals on offer on their menu, from a range of breakfast dishes (cereals, fruit and hot dishes), to snacks such as Bruschetta and Chicken wings, as...

We had a 2 day work forum at Woodlands. The original old building is beautiful set in a complex with various lawn areas and accommodation blocks. We were accommodated in what must be the budget rooms. 2 small rooms sharing a bathroom. We had our forum in a meeting room at the back of the main old building. It was...

The lunch menu is quite good and the service generally fine but the buildings are in need of maintenance and the wines are outrageously over priced. We had a bottle that was marked up 400% on bottle shop price. Not happy. Won't be back anytime soon. The chef tries hard to please.

As someone who booked with the old management and then booked in and had my family stay with the new management I can honestly say the NEW management was wonderful, fantastic and cared about the people who were staying with them. I organized a family reunion and we booked all the hotel rooms from Friday to Monday morning (3 nights)....

We drove for an 1 1/2 hours with my mother, daughter and fiancee to show them the place and have the brunch we saw on webpage that they are doing now. We had been here about 2 years ago and thought it was a lovely setting, but wanted to show them. Not sure what is behind the gates now, but...

Thank you for your feedback, and it is disappointing that your anticipated Sunday Brunch experience coincided with the huge Antique Fair event conducted by Aussie Fairs. We did have lots of advertising on the radio, in the newspapers, on television and on roadside billboards over the past few weeks. Over the weekend, thousands of people visited the Antique Fair as...

My family was invited to attend a birthday party here and we were all impressed with the lovely green tranquil surrounds and main building. We booked a two bedroom with bathroom in Bunya House; this was clean but small and basic. We got to see the superior room accommodation and in hindsight, would have much preferred to book one of...

I stayed at Woodlands for a night for a retreat for work. Restaurant & food was fabulous, as were the surroundings (chapel, beautiful grounds, grotto). However accomodation was disappointing. No hot water until the morning before we left. Very spartan bedroom. Unfortunately the no hot water forces me to give it 3 stars.

The staff members were excellent - very friendly and the service was good. Atmosphere was lovely. Plenty of character. When some of the meals were undercooked, the chef was very apologetic and immediately prepared replacement meals + offered free dessert.

Thank you so much for your review. It was lovely having your family here and we are always happy to admit when things are wrong and correct them. Incidentally we haven't had a fish go out under cooked since and I am sure now the chef is used to the oven we won't.
