This is a nice place. The cabins are fine but what makes it is the location and the view over the bay. We initially booked for three nights but extended the visit to four after we arrived. The are six cabins, a row of four and a pair. We stayed in Dun Cow, at the end of the block of...

We loved Hanson Bay Cabins. The location can't be topped, the view is simply spectacular. They are perched above elemental Hanson Bay, where you can watch the Southern Ocean breakers thundering in. There are 3 beaches, all of which are safe to swim in (we especially liked the second beach). These cabins belong to the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary 3km...

If you're looking for luxury cabins, don't book in here. But if you want a quiet place to stay, fantastic views, a bit of local wildlife and a well equipped cabin, don't hesitate to go here. We really enjoyed our stay here, just a few km off the standard tourist routes. Take the chance for an early visit to nearby...

The best things about Hanson Bay Cabins is the beautiful view from the porch and the wildlife surrounding it. You can look down on Hanson Bay which is just a short, 5-minute walk down the hill and hear the crashing waves to lull to sleep at night. The water is a gorgeous blue, and the nearest beach is safe for...

Most places we've stayed which describe themselves as log cabins actually fill in the gaps between the logs. Not so Hanson Bay Cabins. We cannot begin to tell you how many mosquitoes decided to visit us each night and feast on us. Also, it does not tell you in the property description that the tap water is not potable, making...

Thank you for your review. firstly the water supply. The water provided at he cabins is safe and drinkable. As with the majority of settlements on KI and throughout remote Australia rainwater is collected through the year, filtered, stored and used on demand. when this resource is used up, we purchase town water from Kingscote with it delivered in bulk...

I booked a stay there for the end of 2011 before holiday high season, yet after a mad border control at Australian customs in WA, I cancelled Australian journey, asked manager James Tomlinson that if he was not kind enough to refund booking in this situation I was not responsible of, he might refund GST and convert balance in a...

Firstly let’s get this straight, you have never been here an never stayed with us. Your entry into Australia was denied by customs and federal police. You booked accommodation and cancelled and lost your deposit of 20%. Your emails to myself and staff of threats and extortion have been passed onto South Australian police. We do not tolerate any form...

Handson Bay has 6 cabins housed in 3 structures. Check out the aerial view of Google Maps and you’ll see the 3 stuctures separated by a lane. The 2 closer ones house Cabins #1-4, while the one that’s closest to the sea – so to speak, is #5 and 6. Choose #6 if you want an unobstructed view of the...

Our last nights in Australia were at the Four Seasons in Sydney. It is the place to be in Sydney. But for far from Sydney, Kangaroo Island, we choose Hanson Bay Cabins to best experience Australian wildlife and nature. Our expectations were exceeded. The views of the ocean and beach from inside and outside our unit were beautiful. It is...

We stayed here for a couple of nights after staying in Penneshaw. It is closer to the Flinders National Park and we wanted to look around this part of the island. The evening tour was great. The cabins were basic but ideal if you are looking for unspoilt, which the location definitely is. Definitely worth staying here for a couple...

If you are looking for outdoors and adventure this is the place to go, if you are looking for a luxury...
