We had a wonderful stay The view on the unspoiled bay is awesome. Cliffs near the bungalow are gorgeous The bungalow is great with a nice fireplace to warm you in winter. We had the chance to see possums walk in front of the main window Do not forget to bring food as groceries are a little bit far away...

Thank you for your review!! We are so glad you enjoyed the cabins. Winter is cold this year but so worth the effort and yes the fireplace makes it super cosy. It was a pleasure to have you here. Kind Regards, Kelly Bartlett

We drove to the southwest corner of Kangaroo Island, where we had arranged for lodging at Hanson Bay. These cabins are managed by the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. We stayed in cabins just up the cliff from this beautiful bay. Each cabin was 2BR. Heating was accomplished with a wood stove in the living room and some portable radiators. Very...

These cabins are in a sublime location - on a hill overlooking the open sea and Hanson Bay, a near perfect white sand beach. There are only a few shacks and these cabins. We stayed here for 2 nights in Duncow. We had a great time. However, it is disappointing to see how little effort has been made by the...

Firstly thank you for visiting Hanson Bay cabins. I am sorry that you had a poor experience in our log cabins ( built in 1983) .Next time you must try our beautiful modern cabins (built in 2015). I will address your review in detail because you also said many good things about us. Complaints 1 to 3. The log cabin...

Spent 4 days at Hanson Bay Cabins. Splendid views with the super clear waters of Hanson Bay right in front of the cabins. It's super secluded and we can't get any reception or internet connection at all. The nearest restaurant is Nicolas Baudin Restaurant at KI Wilderness Retreat, which is a 10 minute drive away. The cabins are generally quite...

Stayed in the Stormy Petrel and WOW. Views of Hanson Bay as far as the eye can see from every room, the soft sound of waves crashing on rocks and the beach, at night you can see Magellanic cloud (stars) everywhere! Never seen anything so amazing in my life. Room is modern, comfortable and well set out. A big thank...

We enjoyed a few days in these new, well appointed, clean, modern and naturally warm cabins. Hanson Bay itself is extremely rugged and exposed to the wild southern ocean. It was rough. There is a nice swimming beach within easy walking distance and a really rough beach that you would not dare swim in. There are no restaurants or the...

Hanson Bay Cabins are in a remote location of the island, next door to Southern Ocean Lodge, but at a fraction of the price, you need to stock up with God supplies in town, but it's worth it, beautiful beach down the track, plenty of wildlife, close to the remarkables, admiral arch, and unforgettable views from your cabin, a truly...

4 for the location and views, not so much the cabins. One of the best bays in Australia and it is such a joy to wake up and see such a view. Almost primitive and untouched, if you like the environment in its natural state, this is it. If you want luxury (at a price), there are options nearby but...

Thank you for your review and yes it is one of the best bays in Australia. We do have 2 styles of cabins at Hanson Bay; our beloved log cabins and our new modern cabins. This way we can offer more to our guests. We are constantly upgrading the log cabins as we can, so keep an eye on us...

Both my husband and I agree that this must be the best place that we stayed in during our KI trip. We stayed in one of the older cabins and were initially rather apprehensive about their condition, as pointed out by some reviewers. However, our fears were unfounded. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well-furnished. Yes, the kitchen was a...
