Family of 3 Travelled from San Remo to Yallingup caves in the peak season to camp with our youngest child, 14yrs. Her ideal stay was Hamlen bay but this had been booked out for several months in advance. To our dismay we had been double booked! Everywhere including free camping was chocka block! We just happened to follow the wrong road leading directly to Hamlen Bay camping grounds. Hubby suggested to take a look inside while he hoped for a miracle. After about 5 mins I returned to the Ute and suprised them both that infact they had one spare site left! I don't know what happened but these lovely ladies saved us. They were so gracious and kind. They warned us of the noise and over crowding etc due to its location but we took it as a blessing. We stayed there for 4 wonderful nights. It was magical for our teenager. The youngest of 6 she got mum and dad to herself and had the time of her life. Sting rays, Fishing, shell collecting, simple cooking and lots of card games. Even though we camped in our very basic tent ensemble in between the "Taj mahal" and The Rinehearts lol we enjoyed our stay immensely! Showers were hot and strong 24/7. Hamlen bay you rock! Very Happy Campers :)

Came here in May 2022 with hire car and a swag. Camp sites were really great, and the views were amazing. No mobile or wifi at all, unless you go to the top of the hill. So Good spot if you want to disconnect.

This caravan park has sadly fallen below general standards. With campers allowed to have fires on the ground, weather permitting, but these fire places are not cleaned up consequently the grounds are very dirty. Weekends are very busy and crowded also very noisy. With the extra crowds the ablutions are very overrun and not clean. Sadly the locations, beautiful, is not matched by the Park. The campers kitchen is well appointed and generally clean Drinking water is not available barring bringing your own or purchasing large bottles from the store T over inflated prices. Overall we were disappointed with our fortnight stay at this park apart from the coastal location.

Thank you for your review of our park. Your feedback helps us to grow and assist our future guests to have an enjoyable stay. The nature of our park is not like the big chain parks. We are set within the National Park precinct and rely on bore water in our remote location. Our staff provide this information upon taking a guest booking and it is covered in all correspondence to our guests prior to arrival, allowing guests to choose to bring drinking water from home or to purchase on the way for their holiday. Weekends are busy with the beautiful weather, and whilst our maintenance crew clean thoroughly each and every day, we urge guests to report any issues so that they can be dealt with promptly. Due to the popularity of the park on the weekends, the noise level does increase. Our staff explain the after-hours disturbance procedure on check in and we urge guests to use this service if they are experiencing problems with noise. We will endeavour to make some improvements from the information provided in your review and hope you choose to visit us again. If you wish to offer any direct feedback, please do not hesitate to contact me at melissa@hamelinbayholidaypark.com.au

We stay at this spot each year and it is terribly run. We have tried to change our dates or sites and the staff have no interest in helping you have the same site for the duration of your stay, and don't care either - very rude. You have to talk to people staying there to see if they want to change as staff don't care. The toilets that were renovated - they kept they old shower head and taps and the floor floods. Why renovate? Just put new shower heads on. Some site have 15-20 people on a site and the sites are never levelled or looked after. It would be nice to have a level site, it used to be done 15 years ago. Again no care. Also there is no fish cleaning facility? How when it is owned by the Parks and Wildlife can they get away with no cleaning facility. There is nothing at the beach to clean fish either - where do you think everyone is doing it? And then they through the offal in shore for the sharks to come. Not family friendly.

We are very confused by your review. We are not sure why you continue to return each year if you are so unsatisfied with our park and the facilities and service provided? Our staff go above and beyond for our guests, trying very hard to accommodate requests. Understandably we can’t please absolutely everyone. If you would like to make a complaint about the service you have received from a particular staff member, I urge you to contact me directly at melissa@hamelinbayholidaypark.com.au It’s a shame you have not found our renovated amenity block functional. We will report this to the owners of the park. If you have feedback regarding fish cleaning at the beach front, please contact the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions via their website. I look forward to hearing from you if you would like to email directly. Kind regards, Melissa Lay

Nice camping place, good shady spots in general giving you a more natural camping feeling, amenities main block ok. No mobile reception, so good to shut off. (Some possible near kiosk and uphill) Visited during weekend quite some families camping and s wedding going on so busier as expected but definitely worthwhile staying. The rays on the beach were nice.

This is my third trip back to the Hamelin Bay Caravan Park.I dont usually like to stay at parks in the caravan but rather be off grid and away from other campers but I make an exception here. The caravan park is set in lovely treed areas with plenty of room between you and your neighbours.Plenty of birdlife and a short stroll to the beach. The beach is the highlight with the Stingrays being there all year round and eager and curious to say hello.Beaches are clean and you can fish as well. The grounds are kept clean and there is a small shop where you can buy any necessities that you may have run out of and a morning coffee which is super important to some. There are chalets or campgrounds and they offer powered or non powered sites. The staff at reception are top notch and always so friendly and ready to give you ideas of what to do in the area. They will even borrow you extention cords for the power if yours doesnt reach.Showers are kept very clean and the water pressure and temperature is top notch and one of the best I have used. Now just for the small negatives that take off this place being 5 star.NO FRESH WATER.You need to be self contained in that regard but you are forwarned before you arrive. We still boiled the bore water and used it in teas etc but it did not taste good.Internet.THERE IS NONE.Thats neither a negative or a positive because it makes you do other things than sit on a phone.Slight reception near the shop and the beach and you often spot the reception areas with the people with their phones. The cabins at the front beach look like they would be awesome with views all the way to the beach.Thankyou staff at Hamelin Bay for making our stay another memorable one.We will be back

We stayed in a 6 sleeper cabin at $320 a night over the peak Xmas period. It was lovely - comfortable beds, good water pressure, clean and well equipped. We did wander up to the ablutions block a few times and found it clean and not too busy even though the park was at capacity. Looking forward to our return in 2024. No wifi or phone reception but they are very clear about that in all their booking and paper work. 4/5 was given due to the booking process. I had to ring over 200 times in a 2.5hr period before I finally got through and then the only dates available for 2 months were 2 nights in mid January we got! Very busy. Perhaps a ballot system would be better.

Thank you for taking the time to review Hamelin Bay Holiday Park. We are very happy you enjoyed your holiday in an ocean view cottage. They are indeed very comfortable and well equipped. The Christmas school holiday period is our busiest time with many repeat guests. We understand that it is frustrating trying to get through on the phone as a new guest and we are happy that you persisted. There are many other months during the year when the weather is great and availability is good. All the beauty of Hamelin Bay without the booking hassle and crowds. We look forward to you visiting again next year.

A regular sea change for the two of us - who live 40 minutes away in rural Rosa Brook - the stay here is always brilliant. Apart from the nature of the place, the care taken by its fabulous staff is extraordinary. Here is surely the very best housekeeping crew we've ever experienced... and we've travelled a lot together over 40 years.

My sister and I stayed in an ensuite cabin. It was clean, pleasant and well equipped. People were welcoming and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Lots to see and do in the region. A walk along the local beach is a nice start. I would definitely go back.
