Nestled in a secluded spot, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay is celebrated for its serene private beach and vibrant atmosphere, complete with live performances and a tranquil vibe conducive to relaxation. Guests have commended the cleanliness and expansive amenities, including a sprawling pool and various family activities. While the service generally receives high marks for staff friendliness and professionalism, some visitors have encountered slow service.
Although the rooms are spacious and tidy, critiques often point to their outdated decor and maintenance issues. Opinions on value are divided, with disparities noted between cost and quality.

My young family (wife and 3 children 3,6 and 8) stayed at Movenpick over 26 - 30 December 2020.
It was our first time in Boracay and our first time staying at a Movenpick resort.
The family had a fantastic holiday which we wished did not end. This is largely due to our stay at Movenpick Boracay. The accommodation was clean, modern, well appointed and well designed with the beds being furthest from the thoroughfare (I have stayed at other resorts where the noise from other tourists can be quite loud if the beds are located close to the front of the rooms).
The grounds are well kept, and the very large pool area was a great. It was easy to find our own spot to relax.
The food from the onsite restaurants (especially the fire oven pizzas) was of a high standard, and the resort has a private beach, which the kids were able to enjoy kayaking using the resort’s equipment for a reasonable fee.
Overall though what made the stay as great as it was, were the staff. Special shout out to Jenevic (who was there for you no matter the request, issue or question), and hospitality staff in Jose, Emil and Lira.

We had a planned stay in Boracay from the 24th till the 28th of December, unfortunately exactly when the typhoon Ursula hit the island. Still, the staff of the resort was very helpful and they managed to organize a transport for us from the airport, find an alternative accommodation in Nabas (reaching Boracay was not possible the 24th) and finally get us to the island with private transport as soon as the port opened. They could not stop the bad weather but they tried everything else they could. I want to thank especially Cliff and Ruby (I hope the names are correct) for their kindness and help
Regarding the hotel, I really recommend it if you are looking for a quiet piece of paradise, it has its own private beach, very clean and nice, and also the rooms and the restaurants are very good. It surely is in the top 3 hotels of Boracay
The resort itself is small so all the rooms are close to the beach and the restaurants
It has a free shuttle service to Station 2 and back until midnight, otherwise with a tricycle it is only 100-200 PHP depending on your negotiation skills
If I go back to Boracay, I will stay again in this hotel

We visited Boracay for our honeymoon and boracay is extremely beautiful place and Movenpick resort is best place to stay in boracay. The location of the hotel is a little far from white beach but regular shuttle service is provided to visit white beach. The hotel has its own private beach and organizes water sport activities too on chargeable basis. We stayed in the deluxe room with beach view and the view was exceptional. The pool is huge, clean and one can enjoy the view and have drinks at the pool bar. The food is great with exceptional range of breakfast options and has 3 restaurants with different cuisine. We tried the Italian restaurant and it was great. The staff is very courteous and friendly. Overall great place to stay.

We found tranquility and peace of mind while staying at this beautiful and cozy resort. The staff are all friendly and we were amazed of how good Jonathan from the Housekeeping in decorating our room with different towel designs everyday. Ruby from the concierge was also very helpful and Joedel from the restaurant that serves breakfast was super friendly. We had an absolute fun and relaxing holiday. We can't wait to visit again on our next trip to the Philippines.

We experienced great & friendly service at Movenpick from check in throughout our stay and it was a very safe environment during the COVID period from both a cleanliness and protocol perspective. Everyone was ready to be of assistance. I can unfortunately not remember names well, but it was absolutely awesome to receive the coffee at the table every morning because they already knew how we have it. Not to mention every time to be greeted and wished a lovely day by the janitor with a super friendly smile while he carries on his business of sweeping and off course also the towel man providing beach towels just too happy to give you clean towels and lay them out on the lounger if you wished. Understandable some small limitations on the variety of the menu due to covid circumstance, but more than enough and very sufficient still to choose from. On top of that we were spoilt with a New Year’s party which was totally a surprise and loads of fun. Being in a secluded area makes the hotel perfect for security and safety which was just perfect for what we needed and being adjacent to two other hotels does provide flexibility for grabbing a lunch or dinner as an alternative.

To celebrate our Big 10th Anniversary and to scratch the pent up travel itch, we decided to fly to Boracay for a world class beach adventure.
We booked two hotels. First where the action is (see my other review) and Movenpick Resort & Spa for a luxurious and relaxed tailend of our holiday.
PROS
1. First, I would like to thank Movenpick Resort & Spa for the surprise Anniversary room set-up with a delicious chocolate cake to match. Salute!
2. Beachfront resort with large open spaces and lush greenery. Very relaxing.
3. Premier seaview room was big and well thought out. Complete with a couch which can serve as another bed, a desk with chair and coffee/tea making counter. Big L shaped balcony provided endless fresh sea breeze and a wide vista of the partially blocked seaview (see my "Could be improved" input.
4. The multi-level Pool! The crowning glory of Movenpick Boracay may be the biggest in Boracay. Sol Mar beach bar in between the pool and beach provided drinks and munchies as we spent countless hours swimming & lounging between the pool and the beach.
5. Punta Bunga beach. The wide stretch of fine white sand exclusively shared by Movenpick with Crimson and Shangri-la was secluded and quiet. One can just borrow a Banig and just lounge on the sand for hours without people to crowd you.
6. Staff were well trained. Lifeguards, beach security, FO staff Ruby and Rechel and most specially Duty Manager Francis deserve commendation.
COULD BE IMPROVED
1. With the pandemic, breakfast was buffet but selection was scaled down. Understable though because of less guests.
We stayed for 2 nights/3 days. So by the 3rd day, the limited menu may become repetitive already.
Maybe you can expand the breakfast menu a bit?
2. We had an issue with noisy neighbor one night but FO team was proactive to ensure no repeats the next day.
3. Since Movenpick is also a Spa as their name suggests, similar to other 5 star hotels, sauna/steam facilities should be free to use. Or at the very least, lower the P1,000 usage fee.
4. The premier seaview corner room has a restricted view since the 2 talisay trees have grown too tall and are blocking the magnificent view. Suggest to trim some treetop branches for a better view. Sayang naman ang vista.
Nevertheless, this Resort is now a favorite even compared to the bigger branded resort on the otherside because Movenpick's pool area is well lighted and bigger. We are glad we Move & Picked this resort for a luxurious stay away from the crowds.

With such friendly and accommodating staff, it’s difficult to see how guests could not enjoy their stay at Movenpick. The rooms are clean, well designed and we had a balcony with a lovely sea view. Situated directly by the water, the location is ideal for spending time of the beach. A rocky outcrop just to the left of the beach provides great snorkelling. We saw an abundance of live corals, a whole range of colourful fish, even some seahorses. The Movenpick also has outdoor jacuzzis and a great swimming pool, possibly the largest on the island. Overall, the scenary is fantastic.
However, what makes Movenpick really special is its staff. Whilst all of the staff with whom we came into contact were friendly and helpful, some deserve a special mention. Jenevic, the front office manageress was available throughout our stay to provide for all our needs; she has the ability to combine professionalism and friendliness to the perfect degree. Jenevic’s experience in the hospitality industry constantly shone through; she is a real credit to the resort. Then there is Kiesha and Anna, two very friendly staff who looked after all our food requirements, making a visit to the dining room all the more pleasurable.
Credit must also go to Mr Franck Merot, the General Manager, for maintaining safe, yet quality standards throughout the resort, particularly during this ongoing pandemic. When we next return to Boracay, we’ll definitely stay at the Movenpick again.

Finally travelling is possible again, even thou some Covid related restriction still apply, soon Boracay can be reached again by all. The best and most rewarding deal is here at the Movenpick. A beautiful resort in a park like setting where you can even spot some exotic birds. A huge pool giving you the impression of swimming in a lake and the beach, wow, spotless, the best we have ever seen. A menu with signature dishes, real culinary experiences but very reasonably priced. Yet the greatest asset of such a place is always its people. The Movenpick staff is very friendly, not the artificial trained friendliness but genuine warmth and personable. The ambitious and very industrious General Manager, French national Franck Merot just seems to do everything right. Always around and very approachable. The place is definitely recommendable if you look for a rewarding vaccation with good value for money.

I stayed here one night after a wedding at Shangri-La which is close by. Our original stay was at Coast hotel in central Boracay. Customer service level between the two hotels were extremely different.
Movepick charges for almost everything. They do not offer complimentary shuttle to/from the airport. They charge about $30 USD/pp, which just seems absurd as most hotels in Boracay offer free airport shuttle service at the very least. Our earlier stay at Coast Hotel even offered free shuttle service to Movenpick in place of transport to the airport. Our view at Movenpick was also just OK, it was a view of the really nice pools at the neighboring hotel (Crimson). The shower we had would flood with each use and it also has a weird smell. Overall the only thing that was great at the hotel was the breakfast buffet included in our reservation. Other than that, I'd highly suggest staying elsewhere since the affordable hotels are actually better in rooms and service.

We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. It was our first time to stay in your hotel and we had a fantastic experience. Everyone was so polite and helpful and they were making sure that we are comfortable and enjoying our stay. Ms. Marjorie, a senior hotel manager, was so accommodating with our requests and and very much willing to help us with our concerns. Pandemic essential kit were also provided for our safety that it made us feel even more comfortable and safe. Life guard, security, housekeeping and bar and restaurant personnel were also very helpful and courteous. Your staff are your greatest asset! This much needed break for frontliners like us, was fantastic because of the excellent service we got from Movenpick Boracay. I will definitely be back!

Nothing within walking distance.
Movenpick does provide transportation into town to a place called D’mall and you will find great little bars and restaurants there.
Rates I provided earlier are for DMall. Should change depending on where you go. You can flag an empty etrike as well going back to the hotel for a similar fee and they'll drop you off at the lobby.
