Detailed Reviews
We decided to stay Sunday, Monday at MHP with the state voucher in the Lagoon Unit.
Great location with private access to the pool, and unit over looking both the heated indoor and the outdoor pools.
The Unit was a great size with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a spacious open plan area. The 2nd bedroom doesn't have hanging space for clothes, and 2nd bathroom could have more towel hangers as only room for 2 towels to be hung when up to 4 people using the space.
The park offer movie nights in the outdoor cinema with a bar that serves drinks and food.
We were told it wasn't selling Coffees due to being a bar. I think hot drinks should be offered as an alternate beverage to patrons who wish to partake.
Access to the park is a waterproof wrist band, this operates the boom gate, access to accomadation and pool, cinema and games area etc ( additionalcost for games). Each guest is given a band which is a great way of getting around without having to worry about a key.
A very enjoyable stay.

We are from country SA and had a family member very ill in the Flinders Medical Centre and needed somewhere close by to stay. At short notice, the friendly team at Marion Holiday Park did their best to accommodate us, even the uncertainty of not knowing how long we would need to stay by allowing us to extend daily in the first instance. When it became apparent that we would be there longer-term the Team again supported us. Eventually, we were able to move into 'Sturt House' at the Park, which was perfect for our needs. A well set out two bedroom unit in a quiet corner of the park. It has its own laundry, full kitchen and is serviced weekly. Mostly though, we were overwhelmed by the kindness, compassion and caring of all the people we dealt with at the Park. We cannot speak highly enough of their willingness to accommodate our needs, and going out of their way to help us. We stayed for over a month. While our circumstances were stressful, having such a beautiful location to come back to each day and with full amenities meant that we could better manage the stress. And we'll be back with our van to properly enjoy the Park at some time in the future! Thank you to the Team at the Park for all your kindness and support.

This is a fantastic park but it does have its issue.
The facilities & villas are very good, so much for the kids to do, swim, playground, bouncy pillow, games room, cruising around the park on there scooters & roller skates. The grounds are well maintained.
Very friendly staff on check in, but this was not the case when I put forward a complaint Monday Morning 4/1/21.
Sunday night 3/1/21 was a sleepless night, people in the indoor pool drinking until 2am, then again Monday night till 12am. The park is not manned after 8:30 when the cinema closes. There is no one controlling guests who do not follow the basic rules, no one locking the indoor pool of a night. This to me is the stand out issue with this park that other big parks in the area offer & throughout the river land.

I’ll start with the not so good, stayed on one of the only couple of dusty sites, most had Astro turf. I didn’t bring our camping mat because I’d seen the lush green sites on the internet. The 4yr old had dust everywhere in the van, at $112 per night, I expected a bit more.
For such a busy long weekend I would have expected the toilets/showers to be cleaned more than once per day, at night they were terrible.
None of the facilities were locked at night. We stayed on site 16 next to the games room which was great during the day but the teenagers playing basketball and tennis until past midnight was not pleasant and kept my little one awake.
The Good- Pool area was lovely, the warm pool was visited often and the kids in there were generally well behaved.
My favorite part was the beer garden where we had dinner and watched a movie, not enough bean bags unfortunately we had to sit on the ground. Pizza was lovely.
Charging such a premium for a long weekend should mean that some of the profits could be put into providing more services during the busy period such as more cleaning.

Started out nice, felt welcomed and once paid that's where it ended. Stayed in CV38 where the complementary wifi did not reach and the extender was failing, advised three times nothing was done. Some staff friendly but the night clerk rude and walked off when spoken to on 09/12/2022. Sign on room said clean room when leaving and quite obviously the last person to clean the room was the last guests as was filthy, cupboard full of dead ants. Boards on rear deck lifting and caused a trip hazard to my family, young daughter tripped several times. Uneven paths near playground where I twisted and damaged my ankle. Water park where pressure was so poor several of the features did not work. Outdoor cinema was dreadful as the sounds was next to non-existent. Waiting at the bar was a long time where one of the cooks had to let the attendant know I had been waiting and should be served, too busy looking at the guys in the pool. Down lights on rear deck one was not working. Ice creams ridiculously over priced. No privacy curtains, you either had to be in darkness or have the blackouts open for the public park to view your room. Door locks to public reserve left a lot to be desired, screens damaged. Towel replacement took several calls to happen. WIll NOT BE COMING BACK

Daughter booked us a cabin due to needing to be close to Flinders for surgery. Wow! Our cabin was comfy, the check-in was so easy, staff were so welcoming and the bed was so comfy. Hubby enjoyed a yummy chicken burger from the outdoor bar & grill, they even have an afternoon fun times for families to watch a Movie. All in all it was a great overnight stay we totally look forward to bringing our grandson back here for a stay. (The only downside I would have to say was the constant sirens but being next to the hospital you can easily overlook that) Awesome place to book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very modern room over looking the pool. Car parking was easy and the room had every utensil we needed.
The pool was perfect even when it got a little busier on a weekend.
I loved watching a movie and eating a pizza in the out door cinema with my kids.
The kids loved the jumping pillows and play park. Really helpful and friendly staff.
We will definitely be back

My family had an incredible stay at Marion Holiday Park. It is so well set up for families. The staff were very courteous and couldn't do enough to help us. For example, we had a small issue with a fishy smell in our fridge from the previous guests. Within minutes of my calling reception about it a lovely staff member came by, cleaned the whole thing from top to bottom again, replaced our water bottle and towels, and dropped off some activity packs for the kiddos. They also checked in repeatedly throughout our stay to make sure it was all fine.
The main pool was a great depth and was big enough that there was always a quiet spot despite our staying during a particularly busy time. The small heated pool was nice and warm, great on the cooler days. The splash zone was a hit and the water slides were popular with the older kids. We also enjoyed the giant bouncy pillow and bowling.
We stayed in a bungalow which had all the mod cons, a pretty view with bonus ducks who came visiting, and was nice and quiet. The cafe has lovely coffee and the slushies were affordable and popular with the littles.
We will definitely back and can't wait for our next visit!

Loved our stay at this park. Lots of things for the kids to do! Very very clean, tidy and well kempt. We stayed in our van and had a swag for a young person. Showers, toilets, BBQ areas/camp kitchen are very clean. Outside cinema was awesome! My one issue was confirming we could bring a swag however we were told upon arrival the swag cannot be placed on the grass, which meant we had to have it located in a space that made the area cluttered, reduced our space right outside the van. I think if you pay for a site you should be able to set up the swags, tents where you’d like as long as it remains on your site. But I’d still return!

Cabin we had very basic and way overpriced at $237 a night, must have been the oldest cabin at the park with no shade to sit outside. Clean inside but showing it’s age. Facilities in park good for a family . Very disappointed in our cabin was expecting a lot better for that price.

Hi, I would go for the creek side villas. The ones near the pool are great but perhaps a bit noisy for the little ones.
