Fowlers Bay Caravan Park is a small private beach front caravan park situated on the Esplanade, opposite the 340m long solar lit jetty. We offer powered and unpowered sites, plus two Ocean View Cabins. Located in a remote area on the western side of the Eyre Peninsula, Fowlers Bay is a hidden gem. Offering breathtaking coastlines, abundant wildlife, endless sand dunes and a multitude of fishing options. The remoteness is what makes Fowlers Bay so special, this also means there is no mains electricity or town water supply. The power to all sites, cabins, park amenities and kiosk is supplied entirely by a unique hybrid solar system. The water is naturally obtained through rainwater and from a sand dune aquifer. Take time out to visit this unique park in a unique region of South Australia.

We picked Fowlers Bay as an essential part of our whale watching trip to the Top of the Bight. The eco caravan park worked well for us, close to the excellent Whale Watching Boat Tour with Rod from EP Tours and the local beaches, cliffs and sand dunes. A very convenient and convivial stop with a great community kitchen/BBQ and an easy drive to the Top of the Bight. Many thanks to Robyn and Simon for taking the stress out of me leaving my wallet at the Kiosk after buying a great coffee. They kept it safe and went out of their way to quickly post it to my home. Thank you!!!

Spent three nights here on a powered site; $30 per night. All power is supplied by a hybrid solar system, and all water is naturally obtained through water catchment and an aquifer located in the sand dunes.
The amenities are basic but all that you need. There is a laundromat located close by in the township.
Camp kitchen with fire pit every night. Tuesday nights they offer a free damper night around the campfire, and Saturday nights there is a BBQ for $15.
Town jetty and beach are within walking distance.
The reception is at the kiosk which offers a wide selection of food, groceries and drinks at a reasonable price.

We were very disappointed in the facilities of the park, despite its great location by the water. The toilets and showers were inadequate for the number of caravans and some not working, with showers awash. The nightly campfire was a positive as was the fish n chips from the kiosk. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Seems from previous more positive reviews , the general standard has slipped. Some amazing scenery in the vicinity and lots of history.

Dear Marie, I am sorry you were disappointed with the facilities. We just wish people would let us know immediately if there is a problem, or something is not working, as we will always attend to it straight away. We have already increased the number of toilets and showers since taking over the park.

We were booked into an on site van for 2 nights. It was dilapidated, the stove was not connected, the fittings on cupboards broken, there was no dishwashing supplies, nosuitable microwave dishes and limited cooking gear ( which apparently we could have used in the camp kitchen) the windows were so dirty you couldn't see out and there were gaps everywhere so the wind whistled through freezing us. Also the power was not sufficient to run the heater, the microwave and kettle at the same time!!! so we had to reset the circuit breaker. The door to the added room was frail, needed painting and didn't close, and the step up into the van was an extra large one too hard for a senior with troubled knees. One of the toilet facilities was set out as accessible with grab bars etc but the drain from the shower didn't have sufficient angle to dispose of the shower water so it covered the whole room making it VERY slippery for the next user. There was soap in a dispenser but no paper towel in the paper dispenser and the toilet paper came close to running out.
The managers were very pleasant and sweet but the stay unacceptably poor and even dangerous

A very basic caravan park. The small town of Fowlers Bay and the surrounding beaches was worth the stay, but this caravan park needs some serious attention. The female shower block needs updating. The water runs everywhere making it very slippery when you get out of the shower. The fish cleaning area behind the amenities was disgusting, bin looked like it had not been cleaned for a while. In fact the whole area could do with a good clean. Camp kitchen was a good size. I liked the idea of the fire pit. The local birds could do with a bigger cage.

We stayed 2 nights in one of the 2 en-suite cabins and had a wonderful time although the bathroom was freezing. The cabin was compact but had everything we needed and the bonus was being there on pizza night which solved the dinner problem as there is very little in Fowlers Bay. We did the Whale Watching Cruise with Rod and it was the highlight of our 2 week trip as was visiting my Grandfather's Grave in Coorabie. Beautiful watching the Full Moon rise over the jetty.

Have to agree with barbaramL3764UV on many points - the on-site van we had, was also dreadful.
It seems nobody had been in there for years to check it, given the amount of dirt on window ledges, bed etc. Even the fridge was dirty inside - not just dusty. Only two power points worked and only one light switch.

We arrived late in Fowlers bay and the sign at kiosk said to pick a site an come an see them in the morning. We did this and went to pay the next morning with intentions to stay the 2nd nite but Simon was so rude at telling us we could not stay the 2nd nite, I understand he was booked out but it was his attitude that was rude and abrupt. We could have left an not even paid for the night we did stay and he wouldn't have even known. I wished we had as the park ablutions were terrible and in good need of maintenance. Fowlers bay is a lovely place,
but the caravan park desperately needs work an i won't be recommending it. There are plenty of other places to go and see the whales.

Dear Holly, We have done our best to improve the facilities from the standard they were when we took over. We are a small family owned business and doing the best we can with what we have. The facilities are cleaned to a hight standard every day and we just need to be informed if there is a problem. Regards, Robyn

We spent several days at Fowlers Bay and loved everything about it - the CP provided good amenities and facilities and the owners (Simon and Robyn) were excellent mine hosts. We all loved the fact that at 5pm every night Simon lit the fire and all who were in the Park were invited to join the others. What a wonderful way to get to know one's fellow travellers, as we exchanged our trip stories. And right next to the fire pit is the camp kitchen with amazing facilities - there was no need to get out any of our equipment coz everything was clean and in good working order. It is worthy of its 5-stars!

The grounds itself were nice and we enjoyed the camp kitchen and the camp fire that was provided.

The toilets were spotless!

The only negatives were the engine that was running all night right near our tent and the absence of water in the shower. The water was just a trickle (literally) and it didn’t get warm.

There is a pay phone but card only. You can get limited wifi right near the water. No TV reception unless you have a dish. Lovely place though

We towed our 3ton van with a Land Cruiser. The road is regularly graded. It was my first experience on dirt, and we had no problems at all.
