We really liked all there was to do at Chena Hot Springs, from the Ice Museum to the hot springs themselves. The geothermal tour was very interesting and included the whole resort. We had a good guide. We had a great campsite that was wooded...More
Stayed 3 nights in Feb. The accommodations were very good. Their restaurant was excellent. The service in the rooms is not a daily chore, but they keep it clean. They will give you a wake up call to see the aurora, if you request it....More

We rented a car in Anchorage for the two weeks we were in Alaska. There are tours that will take you to Chena Hot Springs, however a car gives you the flexibility to stop and enjoy and photograph the beautiful scenery and wildlife as you want. The grounds at the Hot Springs are beautiful. The ice sculpture igloo is a must see, also the sled dog kennel. Time did not permit us a horseback ride through the area. It was a fun Alaska adventure.
