On arrival we were greeted with friendly professionalism, given our room a few hours earlier (bonus). We had the Deluxe King Room with a balcony and view direct to the ocean (perfect!!). The decor was great, comfy outdoor and indoor chairs, comfy bed and pillows. The bathroom was a good size with a very nice shower area. Water pressure could have been better, but okay for our 3 night stay. Good size wardrobes, shelves etc, good blackout curtains. The kitchenette was limited - microwave but no bowl to put things in (for small dinners). Even though we were only 2 of us - having exactly 2 of everything (glass, cup, bowl, plate, cutlery etc) was a bit dumb. Change of drink or different use for item meant we had to clean between uses - really? Rooftop pool was okay (just a lap pool really) and the bar was good when it was open (Friday and weekends). Nice view from the top when having a drink - lovely bar staff!

Big downside - we used the balcony to sit outside on balmy nights - but every time we went back inside to top up a drink, go to the loo etc, the air con turned off - always had to go back, reset to right temp and air control. Really stupid and a pain in the neck every night.

Twice we used the restaurant below - once for hot drinks (took 30 minutes to get them) and once for breakfast (took about the same time) and my scrambled eggs were cold on the outside, warm on the inside, ciabatta bread was toasted but soft. Hubby's breakfast was also not that hot. We didn't complain - didn't have time to wait another 30 or more minutes.

As an ExHotel manager all I can say is that this place has all the night things. Parking is a bit limited but there is plenty of street parking ! The rooms are spacious and clean and lots of natural light. We stayed in room 107 so we were on the side of the building and had windows that opened above the beds plus the big balcony. Kitchenette has everything you need for a short stay and good quality crockery and glassware etc.
Bathroom was clean and the amenities such as shower gels and soaps etc. were very high quality, scented with lemongrass and ginger so very refreshing. The shower unlike most places had really decent water pressure.
The Sebel overall was clean and has friendly staff not to mention the amazing rooftop bar and pool…. The kids can swim and splash around without annoying other guests enjoying an afternoon cocktail……10 out of 10 from me and we will definitely be staying here when in the area.

My husband and I have stayed at this location on 3 occasions since December 2021 in an ocean front Deluxe Room with kingsize bed. The room is large, nicely styled and has a kitchenette. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is also a good size, though the style of the shower wall (no door) makes it hard to keep water from getting all over the bathroom floor. The balcony overlooks Moreton Bay and the sunrises are amazing. Pricing on this room is good value. We have enjoyed our stays and find the location to be quiet and handy to Redcliffe for dining options. Good spot to base yourself for walking or bicycling. Secure underground parking isn’t guaranteed (20 spots) but parking is available on the surrounding streets if needed. We attended the rooftop bar for a drink on our last visit (Sunday arvo) and it had great views of the surrounds. Pool was under reconstruction at the time. Limited interaction with staff by choice or necessity but always friendly with nil issues with checking in/out.

The Sebel is a good choice for a stay on the Redcliffe peninsula. It is nicely situated directly across from Margate beach. The rooms are very well appointed, each with a small but pleasant balcony with a view. The bed is wonderful, with a choice of pillows and the linens are high quality and sparkling. There is a mini kitchenette with all you need for a short stay. The ensuite has plenty of fluffy towels and a very effective shower, with high quality bathroom toiletries. Underground parking is also very good. The rooftop bar has a stunning view and is delightful and the bar person was excellent. But don't be fooled by the clever photography - the rooftop pool is actually tiny! The ground floor restaurant has a reasonable menu and is a very pleasant space, also with a view. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the menu there is fairly well priced. The hotel rates vary enormously, so search around the Internet until you find a price that suits. Unfortunately, the Sebel front desk did not price match when I phoned them, so I had little choice but to use a 3rd party booking agency. Daft really, as they would have had to pay that agency 17% for our booking - but that's their choice. All in all a very pleasant hotel. A touch overpriced in this competitive area, but I guess that's what you get on a holiday weekend. Thanks for looking after us so well.

First visit to Margate Beach /Redcliffe area and to the Sebel.
Firstly the area is amazing, so pretty and relaxed yet plenty to do mainly around Redcliffe.
The hotel is small but really good, I booked an ocean view room and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The views were amazing, the rooms are beautifully done yet still have a relaxed vibe and the large furnished balcony was excellent and perfect for an afternoon vino overlooking the water.
The rooftop pool is small but adequate and the rooftop bar looked amazing but only open Fridays - Sunday. Sunny’s restaurant downstairs has great views across to the water, lots of outside dining and I found the staff to be friendly and attentive.
Will definitely be back

This hotel has a great location, opposite the beach and a pleasant walking track. The room was comfortable except rather bright at night as a white light issued from behind the enormous TV. It had a reasonable kitchenette but without a toaster, which was a shame. The bathroom was great with a hot shower.
Staff were Queensland friendly, mostly.
The restaurant was not part of Accor so no discount for food.
One major issue was inadequate parking space so we had to park on the street on Saturday night.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 night over the past few days, I would consider our experience to be below the normal Accor standard, however; I’ll premise it by saying that it was probably due to the location of our room.

When we checked in we were pointed in the direction of our room, a mere 10 second walk from the check-in desk on the ground floor, directly opposite the laundry / room service supply room, and almost directly next to another entry/exit door. Having done 100 room nights pre-COVID in 2019, my expectations were pretty low. What resulted was lots of noise from the check-in entrance area and people talking as they exited and entered the building. Had we not been staying there just to sleep at night, I would not have accepted this room.

The positives. The room decor was quite nice, the cafe had great food, and the location was pretty decent.

I would suggest the ground floor rooms be turned into offices, not paid accommodation. I dare say if we had a different room, we would have been more satisfied with our stay.

Dear machaltcrz, I am sorry you were disappointed in your room location. We do advise that this room type is located on the ground floor and the price reflects that. They do have a large courtyard at the front. Staff should have kept the door closed as requested, this area is only open until the evening then closed overnight. We will take your feedback seriously and look to changing the set up.

Resort location is highly recommended. This was my first trip to Brisbane hence we included breakfast in our package.
Twice during our stay our meals were delayed by almost 45 minutes..First time a simple coffee didn’t get served and upon enquiring few times ,Being told they are very busy but everyone coming after us were served coffee,We decided to leave as we were running out of time .
Second time the same problem with the main meals .We waited from 0930 hours till almost 1045 hours.Upon enquiring about the delay the same staff member turned around rudely saying I deserve respect .What only for asking why our meals are so delayed. She then went inside the kitchen brought the food ,slammed on our table and left .Her mannerism spoilt our whole trip .She was simply rude and arrogant. We didn’t deserve to be treated as such .We are members with ACCOR .
Other than this our stay was pleasant.Reception staff very friendly.

We checked in on the Saturday evening & were provided room keys. I asked about a late check out & was advised it couldn’t be provided.
On entering the room we noted a dirty kitchenette bench top, slops of sauce on the fridge & then very suspicious white gloopy liquid stains & what looked like a bum imprint on the leather chair in the room.
My husband rang the reception who kindly found an alternate room for us & sent us a complimentary bottle of champagne for the trouble.
We settled into the new room & were keen for an early night but were awoken from 01:00-03:00 by the neighbours laughing & talking ridiculously loud. No reception staff available to complain to.
We then rang reception at 09:30 to ask for a late checkout given we were awake half the night, they again said no.
When you’re paying a pretty steep price for a hotel room you just expect better accommodation & a more pleasant experience. The cleaning (or lack of) was an extreme concern given COVID-19.
We’ve travelled all over the world & I just felt this was very substandard especially for Australian standards.

Function area was a great area for my daughters wedding although permanent heating needs to be installed as we experienced unseasonable cold windy weather. Barman was very good and personable. We had a ocean view room which was great but airconditioner was a bit loud. This is an Accor hotel but unfortunately the restaurant is seperate so accor cards do not apply. In saying all this I would still recommend this hotel especially for a function area upstairs that possess great ocean views and reasonable packages are available.

I\I think there is only open hanging space. The location and room facilities would be ok for a 9 day stay. I'd love just to sit on the balcony relaxing. There's a roof top pool and bar. I would recommend the Margate Sebel for a 9 day stay.
