Long Beach Chalet is a beautiful resort. It is in a great location on a fantastic beach. The resort is very attractive with beautiful gardens and two swimming pools. There is a restaurant with good food and a coffee shop on site and an amazing breakfast buffet is served every morning. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a little open air massage studio. There are lots of lounge chairs and a few beach cabanas.
The resort itself is divided into two sections. The beach front areas have lots of bungalows and also four two story buildings. Some are beach front and some are sea view. At the back of the property, close to the road, there is another section of the resort where the standard bungalows are located. There is a path that connects this area to the beach front area. A sign says it is 200 m to the beach but an app on my phone said it was 400 m which felt more accurate. The bungalows in this section are raised off the ground. They are attractive in design and there is a pool in the middle. These bungalows are surrounded by garden. Our bungalow was very comfortable and the bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve had on our eight week holiday. The room has a safe, air con, toiletries, hair dryer, water and there is a balcony for drying towels and bathing suits. The air con helps to drown out noise from the road. The only thing I wish we had known was just how far these units were from the beach. It really felt like two separate resorts. However, we enjoyed all the same services and use of the beach and pools just as much as anyone staying at the beach front and paying a much higher price! We would definitely go back as this part of Thailand is our favourite spot of all!

Located on beautiful Long Beach. They have two pools, a restaurant/bar, coffee shop and massages on site. Nice clean large rooms and nice grounds.
The staff at this hotel are so friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable.
When booking a room just be aware the garden rooms are about a 5 min walk from the beach.

We stayed for two weeks at the beginning of January and we were blown away with this resort from the start to the finish of our stay. We stayed in the garden section which has a lot of greenery and felt very private. It also has its own pool.
Reception were always very helpful. Mai who cleaned our room did a fantastic job every single day and always made a different animal with the towels!!
It is a 5 minute walk to the beach but that really did not matter. The whole resort feels very clam and well ordered.
Breakfast was delightful, again all the ladies who worked there could not do enough for us. The fruit was amazing never had such fresh tasting fruit wherever we have been in the world.
I did yoga every morning with Sita and it was brilliant. Being 64 I was not the most flexible of people but she helped make me feel confident and relaxed (as I could be!!).
Highly recommend this resort. We have been all over Thailand and this is our favourite place and cannot wait to go back next year.

I never wanted to leave this piece of heaven. The beach rooms were the prettiest I ever stayed in. Food was fantastic with lots of choices to walk to. The beach was heaven with free stand up paddle boards and kayaks. Massages on the beach for a great price with very professional therapist. Awesome costumer service and care from staff. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choices and free cappuccinos. The pool was large and looked over the beach. I had zero complaints with this resort. I would not have liked it as much is I were staying in the rooms closer to reception area, so make sure you get an ocean view room and splurge on yourself.

With all due respect to very good/ excellent reviews, I have to express my mixed feelings about this so-called “resort”. Good points are there, including location, deep beach, and “OK” rooms so I won’t repeat it. If this is all you need, don’t have other points of reference and high expectations that you will be satisfied there. I was not and cut my stay after just 3 nights because of lack of true Thai vibe and hospitality as well as property set-up.
Property layout is concentrated around beachfront where on the relatively small area are breakfast and bar/ dinner restaurant, coffee shop, reception and pool following beachfront villas which are close to each other and locking privacy, everything pretty much condensed.
Except for 2 ladies in the breakfast area/ time and one in the reception, the rest of the Staff seems to be unhappy, lacking smiles, greetings, and often ignoring guests, evening crew at the bar/ restaurant are slow and provides sloppy service.
The pool is small and shallow (1,2 M), with a limited number of sunbeds; forget about nice laps but it's a good kid’s playground…
Breakfast reminds me of the student canteen with limited spread choices, except for the fruits. Food is miserable but the biggest joke is instant coffee, which they quickly mix with hot water and presenting in the brewing pot. 3,500 Baths/night and no real brew coffee???, ridiculous. There is Escape Cafe next door but you have to pay extra, I spent an extra over 200 Baths every morning to have our coffee, it does’ t feel right.
All and all I felt there is cutting the corners and shortcuts policy on provided product and service so what you get is overprice value. I know I won’t be back.

Response from Tanwa Sunasavenonta, Owner at Long Beach Chalet
Responded 9 Jan 2022
Dear MikeOni, We thank you for pointing out some glaring issues that your experienced during your stay with us. We apologize that the property did not live up to your expectations but we are doing our best with the little we have after a horrendous 2 years of covid turmoil. In regards to the breakfast, we are glad to tell you that ever since your stay in December, the variety of food offered at breakfast has been greatly increased with more fruits, bakery and cooked options. The instant coffee is a thing of the past (since 10 Jan 2022) as we've already changed to a proper coffee brewing machine for guests to use during breakfast. We are encouraged to hear that the service from the hotel breakfast , cafe and reception was acceptable for you. We'll ensure this is extended to all other departments so that the experience of all future guests are improved. Unfortunately Lym's bar and restaurant is run by a separate company thus we recommend contacting/reviewing directly on their page. Thank you again for your honest opinions. Best Regards, Tum

We started our 2 week Thailand trip here on Koh Lanta. Had been recommended this hotel from a friend and happy she did. Great location at Long Beach and short distance to Saladan if you prefer some shopping. There is also a minimarket in walking distance from the hotel, so you can fill up the refrigirator with cold drinks. You get 2 free water every day from the hotel.
Beautiful beach, nice breakfast with egg and omelette made by order in addition to thai food, fruits, pancakes etc. Massage/yoga area at the beach also. Just wished we had taken more massage. And maybe our favorite place here, Lyms Bar and Restaurant straight at the beach with good drinks and food, and a really nice relaxing atmosphere and place to enjoy the sunset.
Recommend the Seaside Pavilion Room, if possible ask for room on 2nd floor then you might get some view towards the beach and sunset. Huge room and a huge bathroom. Even a bathtub on the balcony, which we actually never used though.
Amazing staff all over, from reception to maid and in breakfast area and at Lyms, offering the best service and always with a smile:-)

Great beachfront location. Had a Deluxe Garden Loft room which is nearer the road and 2-300 metres from the beach. I noticed some people had complained of this in other reviews but these rooms are considerably cheaper than the beach front rooms. No issues with road noise and appreciated the walk to and from the lovely breakfast plus these rooms have their own pool which was extremely quiet and relaxing. Room very clean and thanks to the lovely ladies, Par, Daw and team, there were lovely towel creations when I returned to the room each day. Restaurant was nice and right on the beach. Not too much immediately outside but easy to get around. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Would love to return!

Stayed over a week here as were looking for a relaxed holiday. Beautiful hotel with stunning beach and very friendly staff! The hotel restaurant Lym’s Bar and Restaurant had a great selection of food and drink and was excellent quality. We also enjoyed the entertainment put on some nights, especially Monday Night!
We stayed in the seaside pavilion which I would highly recommend - housekeeping cleaned our room everyday unless we asked not too and kept us entertained with their fantastic towel art.
Couple of restaurants nearby, but a few were closed- I suspect as we were in rainy season.
Hotel organised us some fantastic tours (4 island trip and elephant sanctuary) and a taxi to old town for shopping and dinner, which would also recommend doing- the best seafood!

This was our second visit to Long Beach Chalet. We were here last year and made it a mission to come back for a second visit.
Upon checking (amid the coronavirus break out globally, the resort staff took an extra step to screen all the guests using a digital thermometer and encouraged everyone to clean our hands with alcohol.
We stayed at one of the newer units by the beach front. Views were amazing and the bath tub outside was definitely a plus.
The resort normally hosts sun downers on Friday afternoon. I will let my pictures tell you the million words.
Won't be long til we pay a visit again....
Thank you Long Beach Chalet for providing some of the best holiday experiences.

I loved my stay at Long Beach Chalet!
We were warmly greeted with ice cold drinks and taken to our room which was adorable. Towels made into swans with petals all around, a bottle of sparkling wine which we drank from our terrace overlooking the sea.
The whole resort is relaxed and friendly, you can have a massage, pedicure, manicure outside, swim in the pool, sunbathe, get a coffee, have a snack, enjoy the sea, walk along the very long beach, grab a cocktail...all situated really close to each other for ease.
I cannot recommend this place enough, I shall definitely be returning for a much longer stay.

Hello Simon,
The bathrooms are actually inside the room for Superior Garden Loft. I think you may be referring to the Standard/ Deluxe Garden Loft.
