A pleasant accomodation 9 minutes from Airport and shopping centre.
Lovely clean pool and quiet leafy surrounds. I stayed here in cabin number 22 with my two young grandchildren.
It was 35 degrees today in Perth. Split Air conditioner is good but only in the lounge, dining room area and NOT in either bedroom. Master bedroom was ceiling fan and double bunk bedroom has NO air conditioning or fan which made sleeping uncomfortable.
Everything was very clean and well kept. There is a small kitchenette with microwave, gas cook top, crockery, cutlery, toaster, electric kettle, tea & coffee and large refridgerator.
All linen is white, clean and good quality. The bunk bed could sleep three children as the bottom bed is a double size. Most pillows are over full & not ergonomic. Each bed has reading lamps and wardrobes. Shower is hot and bathroom spacious. TV and lounge area is good, seating on leather look lounges would seat 3-5 persons.
5 minute drive to shopping centre and fuel. Everything here is very clean.
Queen size bed has a well used mattress which needs replacing as it is hard and somewhat lumpy. We are coming back to stay in ten days time. If you prefer your own separate accomodation, I would recommend it, especially as there is a swimming pool, childrens play area and BBQ facilities which is ideal for families.

The Standard 2 bed room cabin (22) is very small in every aspect. Certainly not suitable for 2 adults & 2 teenagers staying for more than 1 night. The cupboards are tiny, no power outlets in the main BR or living areas, had to move the bunk bed in the 2nd BR to access the power point to power the pedestal fan, corridor is so narrow only 1 can pass at a time, 2nd air conditioner, also located in the lounge, sounds like a truck engine and inadequate to cool the bedrooms. Since the AC was very noisy and we weren't equipped with ear plugs, we found it difficult to fall asleep, therefore decided to withstand the heat over the noise and switched the AC off around 3am. We all woke up with bad headches, a horrible start to the morning and holiday.

In the morning we contemplated looking for another place to stay, but couldn't since we had to get ready for a wedding that afternoon. In absolute desperation I asked the lady at the reception (Elissa - sorry not sure of spelling), who checked us in the day before; was really nice, very helpful and always had a smile, if we could get a better cabin which wasn't as noisy and had better air conditioning.

For our luck Elissa was able find a vacant Deluxe 2 Bedroom Cabin (29). We paid the difference and moved into it straight away. The Deluxe 2 BR was a fair cry better, larger in every aspect, adequate power outlets, good storage space and had evaporated cooling system. We were really happy to stay in this cabin for the next few days.

It's a nice holiday Park. The pool is great. The large games room with a table tennis and pool table has 2 fans but could do with an AC.

We stayed in another Deluxe 2BR cabin (30) for a night on our return from our holiday down south. It is a replica of unit 29, joined together and has a locked common door, which is good if staying with friends or family.

Both BRs and the lounge/kitchen was equipped with ACs, which was great. The hot water in unit 30 has a mind of its own. Intermittently the water goes cold during a shower.

We have stayed at Discovery Park Airport many times over the years and have been very happy, but with our most recent stay we were very disappointed.
Our main disappointment was the floor was dirty obvious from the previous tenant and the air conditioner should be replaced as we could not use it because it was so noisy.
For what my wife and I paid for our four nights we expected much better as other family members had stayed in another facility nearby for a more comfortable conditions at a much cheaper rate. I’m sorry we are not happy this time.

As l was travelling to WA from another state l had to do the mandatory isolation. The cabin was comfortable, had cooking gear, cook top, microwave, stove, toaster and kettle.
The staff l interacted with were great, especially Janice she was excellent.
Definitely recoas a place to stay that is reasonably priced. Has a laundry, pool and BBQ area..

Very nice, nothing is missing to enjoy a gateway, cabins are well furnished and appointed, staff is very accomodating.
The only negative points are the throw on the beds, the couches, dinning chairs and floors that don’t get cleaned often enough.(toddler was black after crawling on the floor, many stains and sweaty feeling on couches and throws).
We still enjoyed our stay!

So you find yourself in Perth in your truck but you want to finally unwind and relax resort style look no further.
Discovery parks delivers on every aspect.
Entrance 4.5 mtrs with parking out front and in selected cabins big enough to park your prime mover.
laundry facilities located right next to the pool what better way to relax while doing your laundry.
the rooms are always very tidy and comfortable with an amazing kitchen.
with local shops near by and only a short drive to and form the airport I cannot say anything bad about Discovery parks.

Great park conveniently located close to all attractions. Very clean and tidy park. We had a drive through site which was a very generous size. Friendly welcome by staff on arrival. Close proximity to Fremantle to go to Rottnest. Would definitely stay again.

Upon entry, the park looks very pleasant.... Obviously looks are deceiving. Don't ever judge a book by its cover. My stay at this park has been totally ruined by the customer service. It is non existent. They are very rude and don't care about patrons. Avoid! We were booked into the wrong cabin, after having booked months in advance. And the solution, word by word, have a refund and leave. So, so, so rude! We have stayed at many caravan parks around Australia, and have never, ever experienced anything like this. Would never ever stay here again and will do my best to spread the word so that nobody else ever has to encounter the absolute rudeness of the staff. AVOID!

Stayed here on 17 June 2015. Someone here commented on rude customer service? Right on. My family of 7 rented 2 cabins costing us $229 each for one night. We drove 5 hours from Albany and rushed to check in by 6pm. It was already getting dark. We collected the keys and head off for dinner. When we came back into the room, one of the cabin heater was not working. I read this user guide file placed on the coffee table to check if we could get help. There was no mention of whom to contact should any issues arises. My family tried to make things work but it soon got too cold into the night to bear and so the entire family moved into the one cabin with working heater to spend the night.
The next morning during check out, we informed the front desk of the situation and was retorted with the rudest remark by the on duty service man.
They pointed out a section under the "emergency section" of a different version of the guidelines to the one placed in the folder on the coffee table. That paragraph reads;
" In the case of an emergency, please refer to the evacuation plan located on the main entrance of the door. For emergency assistance , outside reception hours, please phone manager on Duty on 0457 606 7xx."

Meanwhile, there is no phone in any of the units. This piece of information will be useless to international travelers without a local phone service.
We explained to them that we couldn't relate this situation to such kind of emergencies as we would expect this section to relates to someone being injured. An appliance malfunction in our opinion does not constitute an emergency.

The manager retorted that, I quote " I am pretty sure you did not read this, you are just saying it" . Insinuating we were lying to get something out of this, meanwhile showing us a different version of that document (though not very dissimilar but still unclear).
The exchange of words then lead to another of the staff told us that perhaps we should stay in a hotel and not a campervan park with a hint of racist comment targeted at our understanding of the English language.

From a customer view point - we expect such basics of a room to be functional. Are we being unreasonable? I don't think so. Being in this business and can't get this basics right put your company mission statement in question.

The way this establishment function is quite clear to us now and I hope this will help anyone deciding Whether to use this place. Along this same stretch of road there are a few similar parks which I am certain will save you of dealing with such atrocious behavior.

Transact at your own risk......!!

This isn't referred to the Cabins, it is the Caravan Park itself, Been staying at this Park for many years, in our Caravan, but the cleanliness & hygiene in the Men's Showers is disgusting, the tiles on the floor need a good scrub with Ajax & Elbow Grease, it is a breeding place for bacteria, been away for 6 months & nothing has changed, glad we now have a caravan with a shower, What are we paying for !!!!!

Hi Karen, Yes, we are pet friendly on our powered sites only. Owners must keep their dogs on a leash at all times that they are not inside their van/tent, and they must clean up after their pets. A maximum of 2 dogs per site is allowable. Additionally, pets are not able to be left at home alone without an owner present. We hope this helps answer your question. Kind Regards, Discovery Parks

As answered above the park is about a half hour drive from the city if you have a vehicle. There is a bus stop just out the front of the park but as I had a vehicle I didn't use it so not sure if it will take you straight to the city or not
